Church Street by Supercity Aparthotels

Definitely not as expected. When we arrived I was shocked as we had booked the executive one bedroom suite. I felt that the apartment we were given didn’t look like the pictures advertised. I felt this apartment is more basic and budget rather than luxurious. We had a blacked out window in our room which we are unsure where it led to which is a worry in itself. It has curtains over it so this made us feel quite claustrophobic. We had a balcony which seemed very dated and was covered in a gridded window which made it pointless as couldn’t really see how unless we opened the old wooden door. Again very different from advertised pictures. There was also a smell of cooking when we arrived in apartment. I feel the cleaners should have tried to eliminate this beforehand. My partner had also emailed numerous times previously stating it was birthday occasion and felt the hotel didn’t do anything for this. This obviously isn’t expected but any other luxury hotel/ aparthotel we’ve stayed have went out their way to make it special. As this was an occasion weekend, we felt we didn’t want to upset it by complaining at the time. But for the price we paid it certainly was not a luxurious stay and I wouldn’t definitely not stay again as I would say it’s not worth the money.

The accommodation was fantastic. I was greeted by kind staff at the reception (Patrick), I received the key to the room and the necessary information very quickly. I plan to try the gym next time. The apartment was well equipped and clean. The location is also great. Right next to Arndale shopping centre. Train station about 10 minutes away. Definitely coming back next year !

Judging from the other reviews it seams like this is a hotel of two halves. The nice half, and the not-so-nice half. Unfortunately I paid £120 to stay in the not-so-nice half for one night - the 'Studio Suite' (sounds nice doesn't it? - it's not so great). The room looked nothing like the pics in my opinion (see attached) which gives a luxury vibe. In reality, its a basic, budget room sitting on the 1st floor, so street noise and no aircon meant the windows were closed and the room was hot. To be fair, it was clean enough, and the hotel manager and receptionist did their best to help but, as the hotel was full, I couldn't move rooms. Given the price and the expectations from the pictures/ website I was really disappointed with the reality (See pics attached to this review).

1010, couldn’t ask for anything else very clean and spacious. Will be coming back regularly. Great location near arndale centre however can be a bit noisy due to traffic etc, but apart from that best hotel that I have ever stayed in. Thank you.

Excellent place to stay in Manchester . Very safe if you travel with your family . Apartment is modern and spacious . The hotel is very central and next to Arendal . Staff is super Friendly and helpful. Recommend this place 100/100. Big THANK YOU !
