Acro Wellness Suites - Adults Only

Went with my wife for our honeymoon, selected the half board: best decision ever (food portions are large, be ready to gain some weight, unless you hit the gym every day!). Most of the negative comments below are petty, seeking minor issues with their stay, please disregard. Highly recommended if you seek privacy, quality food and fitness / wellbeing retreat. Would like to thank Georgia (breakfast / lunch) and Georgia (dinner) as well as Theo (HIIT instructor) + the whole staff who have been excellent to us and the guests. Areas of improvement: minor repairs required to the room (you can start noticing some wear and tear) / the SpA has great massage options but the circuit leading to the massage is average / we received an average breakfast box due to our 06:00AM travels, could have been better given the week's service quality. Besides that, fantastic stay, we will be back!

This is a gem in the hospitality world, one we definitely plan to return to. It's position, the quality of accommodations, the culinary experience (especially as we have very specific dietary needs) were beyond exceptional. The resort manager, the reception staff, Christopher and Antonis in the restaurant and David at the Asian restaurant were discreetly attentive. Amazing people. Amazing place.

The location is amazing and the setting with sea views were lovely. Our room was a bit small, bed wasn’t the most comfy either. We found that we could hear the neighbours very clearly next door when trying to relax and enjoy our pool. The rooms don’t have light switches but a complex system which failed on us twice, meaning our lights couldn’t turn off and we ended up having to call the engineer out at 10pm to fix it, not ideal when trying to go to bed. The aircon also failed one day and they came out to fix it - no problem but it seems they have technical glitches throughout the hotel. Not only this, but it’s unfortunate that on their marketing they don’t mention about their sister all inclusive next door. It’s a budget hotel where there are coaches coming and going all day - you have to share the gym with them, so the gym is always super busy. It’s advertised as a remote, exclusive place and then to find an all inclusive next door was a bit of a disappointment. They also state you get 1 water provided each day. No one offers you anything by the pool so we ended up filling our bottles in the gym - not what one would expect to do when paying that amount per night The dinner is nothing to write home about and the cost is quite high and menu limited. The breakfast was nice but they mention that you are only allowed to order 1 thing from the menu. When you are paying £800 per night, only being allowed to have one menu choice is pretty poor. Also smoothies are extra, it’s small things like this which I would say it’s not a hotel at the top of its game. Another thing, we arrived at 10.46am, 1 minute after breakfast closed and the manager of the restaurant said we missed breakfast and could not be served. They eventually changed their mind and served but still, this is not what a luxury hotel would do. The standard of cleaning was poor. We continuously had used cups left in our room. The massage we had was a bit rough and inexperienced. Finally, it felt like there was always someone in your room. There’s a pool cleaner who would randomly turn up before 9-12. Then there’s a seperate cleaner team, then a seperate water replenisher. All in all, wouldn’t recommend. Do your research and look beyond the amazing photos of the sea.

The architecture is beautiful, the food very tasty, the staff friendly. That was the positive. The negative: the inconsistent service level, the inadequate infrastructure (air conditioning), the management. For instance, the supposedly ecological Airco system is inappropriate and insufficiently strong to cool the rooms to a normal airco level. After 2 days of nonstop -day and night, closed doors- airco on maximum setting, supplemented by ceiling fan, the temperature did not touch below 23 degrees. Maybe not a problem for some, but if you like to sleep in a room of 20 degrees or below, it is not pleasant. The (one side open) restaurant can be closed with glass doors and they do that for breakfast which, with the inadequate air conditioning, makes you feel like you are in a greenhouse. The pool light in our private pool did not work and was repaired only after 3 days and frequent complaining. Service was inconsistent. Dirty glasses were sometimes replaced, sometimes not. Turn down evening service was different each time . One time on each bed a chocolate, the other night not or only on 1 bed (we had 2 bedrooms) . For a hotel that wants to belong to the top of Crete and for which we paid 1215 euro !!! per night you expect much more and better! It is not pleasant or relaxing if you have to constantly 'complain' about everything. At no time was any compensation for all this suggested either. We can say that the service level is below par for this category of hotel. If you compare this to the service level of Four Seasons hotels, for instance, it can even be called very underwhelming and substandard .

I stayed here for 2 nights back in May. I did not book to come here. I was staying at Seaside Resort (their sister hotel on the same complex) when i arrived i was surprised with an upgrade for 2 nights to stay at the Acro Suites. I have never had an upgrade in my life. It was the most amazing surprise of my life. The room had an infinity pool that over looked the sea. It was private so nobody else could use it or look in. The rooms had everything i needed and very modern facilities. I was even greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine and some desserts. The toiletries that were provided were very high quality. The attention to detail in the room is unmatched. I did not eat here as my meals were still included at the Seaside resort, so i cannot comment on the food. However, from what i saw, this was 5*. It was a 3 minute walk to Seaside reception and back but as it is on a cliff side you can call for a golf buggy and staff to take you , if needed. I only did this on the days that i checked in and out as my bags were rather heavy. The staff were lovely, they kept checking i had everything i needed and was enjoying my stay. When i say this place is 5* throughout, I mean it. So clean and tidy. As it is on top of a cliff, it does get rather windy (if you are wearing a dress or skirt, i would consider some cycling shorts underneath). I saw the most amazing sunsets and sunrises (very instagram worthy! If you fancy a little bit of luxury and a 5* experience, then i would certainly book here!

Outstanding hotel - one of the best in Europe. Incredible staff, all so friendly and helpful, really welcoming and made our stay so enjoyable. The sunset loft villa was amazing. The food is impeccable. And the whole resort is pristine. Thanks so much for a fantastic few days. Well definitely be back and would highly recommend to all.

Second Time at this Hotel. Always and everywhere very nice people. They recognized me from last Year. You get the feeling of a big Family. Planning third visit next Year. We had an incredible Loft with our own heatable Pool, Thank You for all.

The Acro Suites convinced us completely and we will certainly come again 😍 We have already stayed in many hotels, but this hotel tops everything! The rooms with the private pools and the fantastic view are a dream! The service, cleanliness and restaurant are also perfect. It was only a short stay, but more relaxation in such a short time is simply not possible. See you soon 😁

WOW. It will be hard to find somewhere better than this. I stayed in the loft. It was a beautiful room with very cool tech features. The view is outstanding no matter where you are. The staff are even better. Everyone is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, most of all want to make sure you have the best experience. They have a whole book of things to do and experiences and get discounted rates. They set everything up for you! Every night we were brought warm towels to shower without ever asking! The Acro matcha tea is my favorite drink in the WHOLE WORLD. I wish I could ship cases of it home. The restaurant also had excellent food. The resort exceeded our expectations in every way. I cannot wait to go back!
