The night market is in front of the guesthouse. It is the center of the town. Great location.

Great location. Spacious room and friendly staff. The swimming pool is a plus. But the A/C in my room is not strong enough. It takes quite a few hours before the whole room to be cool, I recommend having a fan in the room to speed air circulatoon. In this way, more power can be saved and the room temperature can be brought down sooner.

Perfect location. Clean room. Really relaxing atmosphere

สะอาด ราคาปานกลาง น่าจะเพราะมีสระว่ายน้ำ และ ติดถนนคนเดิน เหมาะสมกับสถานที่ เหมาะกับคนมาเป็นคู่ หรือเพื่อนกลุ่มก็ได้ แต่ ส่งนตัวคิดว่าน่าจะถูกลงกว่านี้อีกนิด แต่คิดว่า เพราะสถานที่ ใกล้และสะดวกมากๆ

One of the best things about the guesthouse is its location - between the city's most famous monastery and the walking street/night market. The small pool is perfectly clean too. No breakfast but electric kettle in room. The shower takes a bit of getting used to but finally worked well.

I read the reviews before trying to book.Very difficult to get hold of the hotel and had to go through Facebook to book and only after 3 tries to contact them did I get a response.I tried to confirm before we arrived with no response but our room was ready for us on arrival.It seems to be a bit of a transient hotel for people riding bikes doing the loop who stay for 1 night and move on.We stayed there 3 nights.No breakfast with the room but for the 700bht ($30 AUD)it was worth every cent,The photos of the hotel dont do it justice and it was better than what I had expected.Clean room and comfortable bed.Fridge and kettle provided.Big pool in the back yard and they RECYCLE all their plastics and waste.Big thumbs up for that.The best thing about this hotel is its location.WOW is all I can say.To the left you have the temple and right ourside your door there is a food and trinket market every night with excellent cheap cheap food.Mini mart just up the road as well.We didnt organise our tours through the hotel but did outside.Mae Hong Son was my favourite spot to stay and at Piya you are right in the heart of it.Loved sitting at the tables outside watching the comings and goings of the market.Very clean area with no rubbish anywhere.They organised a lift to the bus terminal for us The staff have very little English and came to clean our room every day but we declined and just got the water delivered,Soap and shampoo were delivered in satchets.No tea or coffee provided but we had our own.I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again

stopped here as part of Mae Hong Son loop for second time. Nothing fancy, basic but perfect for walking street. clean and cheap, but no restaurant or breakfast. very helpful. We paid like Thb 700, so did not expect too much. Nice swimming pool

I recommend this guest house very highly for its excellent location, super-friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and the relaxed lifestyle around the pool. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind on the Mae Hong Son loop. Thank you to the staff who, when they found out it was my birthday, gave me a cake (see photo). Thai hospitality at its finest. Thank you for an amazing stay.

The location is great, next to a temple and by the small central lake. THB700, ignore Agoda for that one, seems reasonable for a large and somewhat stylish room with a small pool at the centre of the property. Breakfast is available across the road but there is tea and coffee facilities. Really enjoyable.

We choose Piya for its great location -central and views of the lake - and everything else came secondary to that. The place is dated but I don't mind if the basic creature comforts are covered. AC capacity was a bit small for the size of room so it took a while to cool down. Owner operated so they are always around and have an eye on you which can be a good thing but not if you prefer staff to be not seen nor heard until required. If you like resorts with pool bars to both dip and sip your piña colada then their pool won't fit your needs. Pool rules are posted everywhere and this pedantic aspect can be off-putting for those who are on holiday to relax and have common sense to know how to behave without having to be told.
