Hotel in zona Court Street Baptist Church, Lynchburg

Sono stato sorpreso per la prima volta nel 2018. Ho fatto di nuovo il viaggio in giugno, ma in generale è ancora buono. Le strutture sono naturalmente vecchie. L'ambiente è piuttosto tranquillo. C'è un negozio vicino. Il quartiere è il cappello di mela. La chiave è molto vicino all'alta velocità, E'molto conveniente per coloro che hanno fretta il giorno dopo. Questa casa è stata migliore rispetto ad altre case dormienti che hanno vissuto. La ricezione è stata molto buona per gli studenti dell'Università Libera vicina, di alta qualità, e molti punti aggiunti a questo hotel!

We have stayed at each of the Marriotts in Lynchburg at one point or another and were excited to give the relatively new Residence Inn a try. We found this to be our favorite Marriott in Lynchburg and would return here for future trips to the area. Rachel at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming from the moment we checked in. The complimentary breakfast was well organized and frequently attended to as well. The room featured a newer Residence design that I consistently find quite comfortable, an open floor plan that still has defined areas and plenty of space. The room was very clean and in good shape, though starting to show some minor signs of wear. The bathroom design was the only thing that was a bit odd about the room, as the half-glass design of the shower created a mess no matter the water pressure. Location wise, the Residence is centrally located and only 5-10 minutes from Liberty depending on what part of campus you are visiting. Between the River Ridge Mall complex being next door and Wards Rd. one traffic light away, we had quick access to anything we needed. Overall, we had a positive experience and would keep the Residence in mind for our future trips to Lynchburg.

The rooms were adequate, not great. The service was inconsistent: Some staff were pleasant and helpful, others were irritable and had 0 interest in assisting us. The worst part was the breakfast. Their breakfast was limited to begin with and missing a number of the few items they would normally have. The area was filled with frustrated guests who repeatedly had to ask for basics to be restocked, ie the bread tray to and the hot food to be filled. (This was 40 minutes f before breakfast was supposed to end.) Other food they just didn’t have at all. They did not even have water with breakfast because “the truck didn’t come this morning.” When asked about why there were so many missing items at breakfast, the manager said, “It’s not required.” They had plenty of water at the front, but refused to provide any for the breakfast staff to share (they asked as did I). And while I would normally just have my kids drink tap water, the hotel would not serve it, which made me question the safety of drinking it. I recently shifted from almost exclusively Hilton brands because Fairfield seemed promising. This will be a swift return to Hilton. Thanks for making that decision easy, Fairfield Inn and Suites at Lynchburg.
