Liho - Einfach Lübeck

Very nice stay in family friendly hotel. Clean, and cozy hotel with very friendly hosts. We booked accidentally a Lego themed family room, but our kids loved it and it seems our stay here was the favourite night on our holiday. Complimentary beverages, very nice breakfast even if not included to the room. Close to city center.

Wow! This family-run hotel really exceeded our expectations. We received a very friendly greeting at the front-desk by one of the proprietors and our experience continued to be outstanding throughout the stay. It is a short walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and a short walk to the Altstadt (old town), so very convenient. We spent two nights here and really enjoyed the common areas. They have a reading room, children's play room, and a sitting room where guests can enjoy the honor bar and snack station. The snack area had complimentary cake and then a refrigerator full of beer, wine, and soft drinks and a shelf full of snacks for purchase. Simply take what you want and record what you have taken on a coaster and drop it in the slot. It will be billed to your room at the end of the stay. The offerings were very economical and created a fun and social atmosphere. They also have a candy station and a coffee station for free at all times. The room was clean and comfortable. We slept very well on quality linens. The bathroom had some dead space while the toilet was tight into the shower, but it was fine. The room keys are the traditional kind and must be left at the desk before leaving. Since it was raining during our visit, the hotel provided complimentary umbrellas for guest use, a thoughtful touch. The breakfast is to die for and highly recommended. It contains an extensive buffet of the typical German breakfast foods with a variety of fresh breads and hot items. They also have a waffle station with amazing cherry syrup, which I enjoyed both days. 😊 If you are going to visit Lübeck, this boutique hotel is a great value and a wonderful experience.

From the welcome upon arrival, to the breakfast, the rooms and the location, this is a great place to stay when in Lübeck! It’s staff is very friendly and service minded, our dogs were welcomed as well ( drinking bowls and dog treats), everyone spoke great English and helped us with recommendations to restaurants. The room was large and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast, and the breakfast hostess, was really good, it had everything! Thank you for a great stay!

I stayed four nights in a standard room and will hopefully stay here again! It was impossibly, immaculately clean, the staff was friendly and responsive, and the breakfast was plentiful, varied and well-made. Thoughtful touches like the fantastic candy bar, well-planned common spaces, and a nicely stocked bar made for a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. The location is an easy walk to both the train station and the old town.

We rented two rooms for our family: the superior room was nicely updated, the standard room felt a little tired. The superior room came with several gratis drinks on the fridge which was a nice freebie & all rooms include free coffee, COLD iced tea, and coffee/snacks in the lobby. Our kids LOVED the ever rotating candy bar. Hard working & friendly staff. Breakfast was great on one day and chaos on another. $15eu PP felt a little spendy for breakfast esp w/ a great bakery literally around the corner. It was hot, so we had to open the window (no AC) and in that case our rooms were ridiculously loud owing to the two restaurants below that are open late & always seem to have a noisy crowd hanging out. The hotel is also on a busy bus stop corner, sirens, and generally just a lot of "city" noise we did not expect. Based on our experience we might look for somewhere else to stay but I suspect if you didn't visit on a 28 degree day & weren't inspired to open the windows you'd have a very enjoyable stay as when our windows were closed we couldn't hear the street noise at all. Our only real complaint was the noise bc it was hot and we had to open the windows. Otherwise, it was clean, welcoming, and about a 5 -10 minute walk from the train, old town, etc. We enjoyed great meals at Portofino Pizza and Potters restaurant.

We stayed here for four nights and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Nice location, spotlessly clean room, excellent breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful, location is very convenient to the train station and an easy walk to everything in the old town.
