Hotel in zona Mirador de la Corona, Los Realejos

This hotel was a huge disappointment. For the price we paid, I would definitely go somewhere else. I booked a room for myself and two kids (16 and 11) on a booking platform that described the room as suitable for three people, with a maximum of two adults. I assumed it would be a double or twin room with an extra bed for a child. However, when we arrived to check-in in the evening, they told us they had no record of three guests, only two adults, and that we could not stay in the room we had selected. They gave us a bigger apartment and asked me to come to the front desk the next morning to resolve the situation. I must say that the gentleman at the front desk during the evening shift was sincerely apologetic and showed empathy. However, the front desk man in the morning was a completely different story. He was rude and arrogant, and I've never experienced such poor hospitality. He showed no acknowledgement of their incorrect advertisement. They claimed that the room we selected was only suitable for two adults, with a maximum of one two-year-old child. I took the time to search through several different platforms where this ”family-friendly” hotel was listed, and on all of them, it stated that children up to the age of 13 were free of charge. However, in our case, we were asked to pay extra for our 11-year-old, which amounted to a 50% increase in the original price. With poor English skills, the only argument they had was several times ”It's not my problem. You pay now or leave!” - without getting back any money for the rest of the nights, of course. In the end, we paid the price and were reimbursed by the booking platform afterward, although I'm quite certain it was the hotel's fault. Mistakes do happen, but the rudeness and poor attitude of the staff were unacceptable. I don't see the hotel as family-friendly, friendly, or even polite at all. As for the hotel itself, the amenities were quite old, as evidenced by the condition of the rooms, restaurant, and outdoors. The pool was literally colder than the ocean, and nobody could stay in it for more than five minutes. For the original price, I would say it's about average, but after the 50% increase we paid, the hotel is way below average, and I would rather find a better hotel in a better location. To top it off, when we were leaving breakfast, one lady working in the restaurant got hysterical about our 11-year-old taking an APPLE from the breakfast buffet - how silly and rude reaction, especially to a kid.

Overall, we would give this hotel 3 stars. The lobby is beautiful, the pool areas and gardens are too. The staff are without exception very friendly and welcoming. The location, about 1-1.5 miles from the centre of Puerto de la Cruz suited us and we like walking. The main negative is that although the food at breakfast and dinner is varied and plentiful, any hot food is mostly lukewarm. There seems to be some issue with the method of keeping the food hot as it’s all a buffet system. Other hotels seem to be able to keep food hot but here it isn’t which spoils it. The lighting in the dining room is also very bright and so in the evening it feels a bit like being in a canteen, not a restaurant. Our room, facing the garden was large, clean and had everything we needed although it’s surprising how dated it was, comparing it to the lobby and bar, it needs refurbishing. In contrast to the dining room, the lighting in here was very poor, no central light existed. We did have some trouble with the lift cards, as did many others and this does need rectifying. We also had an issue with the pre-payment special offer with drinks at dinner where we were given the wrong information by two staff members which resulted in our bill being higher than expected on departure although we were given a free drink in compensation. As the hotel only appeared to be maybe a third to half full, the guy who tried to put some evening entertainment on seemed to be fighting a losing battle and it was very quiet which wouldn’t suit everyone.

Abbiamo scelto questo hotel su Internet senza motivi particolari se non quello che era fuori dal cento di Puerto Cruz, ma abbastanza vicino ad esso. Ad una 50ina di metri c'è un parcheggio non attrezzato, ma buono dato che nelle vicinanze non si trova posto auto. Personale gentilissimo disposto ad aiutarti e sempre col sorriso sul viso. Noi eravamo al 4° piano ed i rumori della strada, per altro molto pochi, non si sentivano affatto, se non i camion delle pulizie che ad una certa ora venivano a prendere le immondizie. Colazione abbondante e internazionale, trovi veramente di tutto. Camere e bagno molto puliti, anche se l'arredo non è all'ultimo grido, ma tanto di deve solo dormire. WiFi mai avuto problemi. Dalla piscina al bar all'intrattenimento, trovi tutto quello che serve. Se volete andare a Puerto de la Cruz, lo consiglio veramente anche perchè gli ospiti sono SOLO gente adulta. Io e la mia famiglia, ci siamo trovati benissimo.

Всё соответствует описанию и фотографиям, чисто, уютно, персонал отзывчивый, рядом магазин, ларёк с экскурсиями, автобусная станция, пляж (волны, постоянно красный флаг), можно дойти до городского пляжа с бассейнами, природа очень красивая, все супер.

Sono stato in questo hotel a settembre 2023 con la mia ragazza per una settimana con mezza pensione e ci siamo fatti l'idea che questa struttura è un 4 stelle che non ci crede abbastanza ma comunque ci riteniamo totalmente soddisfatti del soggiorno e comunque lo consiglerei a tutti. In tante recensioni ho letto che non può essere assolutamente considerato un 4 stelle ma secondo me non è vero perché ha tutti i servizi di un 4 stelle: una bella piscina, una bella hall, il bar aperto dalla mattina fino a notte fonda, musica dal vivo tutte le sere, servizio di pulizia della camera fino alle 13, 2 ascensori, un cuoco che cucina sul momento pesce e carne alla piastra a cena e uova al mattino. L'unico vero problema è che la struttura non è nuovissima (come nessuna in quella sono tutte strutture degli anni 80/90) e per molti questo è il vero problema.

Da tantissimi anni abituè di Tenerife in particolare Puerto de la Cruz,frequento questa zona da prima che l'hotel venisse costruito.questa volta è stato ulteriormente migliore dato che ci siamo trovati benissimo all'Hotel Puerto Palace, Hotel raccolto e stupendo,curato al massimo, personale TUTTO più che gentilissimo, pulizia, servizi, ristorante,bar che dire, a chi interessa wifi ottima dappertutto veramente ...TOP!!! Ci torno sicuramente,e non ci penserò due volte dove soggiornare . Complimenti!!

Overall nice hotel, friendly staff and spectacular views. We stayed all inclusive which is a little confusing at first. You have the choice of only 1 restaurant for breakfast and evening free of charge, there is a alacarte Italian restaurant available with 20% discount to all inclusive guests in the evenings. Lunch you can dine at restaurant or pool bar which has snacks including, pizza, burgers, chicken nuggets, chips, toasties, salads (all included with all inclusive). Evening food did change each night with chocolate fountain on 1 night of stay. Some cocktails included with all inclusive but not all, same goes with spirits and liqueurs only local spirits included. All soft drinks ie, Coke, Fanta, Sprite, fruit juice (not fresh) included with all inclusive. There is ice cream pots available from pool bar included but branded ice creams you still need to pay. Location wise, spectacular views just slightly remote for those wanting lively atmosphere. Shuttle bus very reliable and free to take you into town. There is a nice shopping centre over the road but will cost around €10 to get to due to road layout. It’s the same to get back from centre of town in taxi also. Lots of bars and restaurants in Puerto de la Cruz. Towels are available to hire with a refundable deposit for the pool if tokens returned at end of stay. Gardens around pool area are immaculate however the Pool doesn’t allow inflatables which didn’t please my kids, you can however take an inflatable ball. It was easy to get a sun bed no need to reserve beds and we were a group of 9 and we all got a bed easily. Room layout we had a sea view suite which had a lounge which they converted sofa to a single and placed another single in for 2nd child, seperate bedroom with very large bed, large bathroom with whirlpool bath. Aircon only worked in bedroom, lounge was broken, same was the case for other rooms booked which wasn’t great. Our room was 320 and view was amazing. Will say the pool had very sharp surroundings believe it’s to stop slipping over but not the most comfortable to sit on the edge of the pool. They have a larger adults only pool for over 14 year olds which is the one with the large waterfall.
