Hotel a 3 stelle a Los Realejos

Basic hotel, immaculately clean in every area, room cleaned and towel change daily, may need an extension lead as only one plug socket by the bed, however plenty in room, bathroom basic but spotless, reception staff very friendly and helpful, we had a mountain view, but the man said I upgraded you to a sea view, which is beautiful 5th floor 😀 the lifts are busy in the morning but it's not a problem, breakfast is basic, but plentiful, haven't touched the hot food as I don't like Spanish cooked breakfast I prefer English meat!! But wen in Spain and all that!! Bread and pastries are good, plenty of fruit, yogurt cereals ect.. restaurant staff a bit standoffish but they work hard and keep it clean, you won't go hungry at breakfast trust me!! The pool area is lovely and the gardens too, the pool temperature is absolutely freezing but it's December so to be expected, the only downside was really the 2 hour transfer stopped at around 8 other hotels first 😩 but worth the wait, happy with the overall experience and would definitely visit again 100% doesn't seem to be access to the sea unfortunately, but there is a free bus into peurto de la cruz every hour so may give that a go 👌😀

The hotel was clean and tidy. Rooms are spacious with a separate bedroom. Kitchen has few utensils and pans and kettles so basic foods can be cooked. Balconies have two chairs and a table. Be aware that the balcony floor is very slippery when wet. Building D next to the road can be a bit noisy at times, trash truck beeping early in the morning etc. Hotel has a minimarket with mostly sandwiches, chocolate bars, beer and wine. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, lots of fruit, bread and cereal but not much meat. Same goes with the dinner. Don't trust Google maps, there's no easy route to Puerto de la Cruz centrum. The area surrounding the hotel is steep hills to every direction. Sidewalks are narrow if they exist at all. Nearest grocery stores are closer to 10 minute walk away. Few restaurants are nearby. There is one hotel next to this one but otherwise the neighbourhood is fully inhabited by locals. We enjoyed our stay a lot though we found out that the only viable way to travel between the hotel and Puerto de la Cruz was taxi.

Che appartamenti fantastici, il nostro era un standard , che era enorme. Con un grande balcone vista la playa de las Roques. Stile spagnolo tradizionale, con un forno AEG e un forno e un congelatore di dimensioni piene. Oh e 5 pezzi di bagno Roca . Il personale è molto amichevole e utile. Era molto tranquillo, immagino fosse circa un terzo pieno. I giardini hanno molte piante e alberi, c'è un pozzo di pesce, un pozzo di terrapino, e una buona dimensione Cesar Manrique ispirato piscina . È un po' difficile trovare, le strade sono strette e molto rigide, con molteplici modi, guidare attentamente ! La città di Toscal ha molti ristoranti e bar, è molto una zona spagnola, non si aspetta un pub inglese o qualcosa del genere. È un po 'più freddo su questa parte dell'isola, ma ancora il sole in ottobre. Questo è un ottimo luogo per esplorare questo lato dell'isola, la città di La Orotava , le montagne dell'Anaga e, naturalmente, il monte Teide. La capitale Santa Cruz è grande per camminare, molto andare, bellissimo. Abbiamo fatto domenica, meno traffico e più facile parcheggiare. Direi che avete davvero bisogno di una macchina. È assolutamente incentrato sulla strada, sui segnali stradali e sui limiti di velocità. Aprendere un piccolo spagnolo sarebbe davvero utile, non è una zona turistica britannica. Sì, è stata una vacanza!

Overall, we would give this hotel 3 stars. The lobby is beautiful, the pool areas and gardens are too. The staff are without exception very friendly and welcoming. The location, about 1-1.5 miles from the centre of Puerto de la Cruz suited us and we like walking. The main negative is that although the food at breakfast and dinner is varied and plentiful, any hot food is mostly lukewarm. There seems to be some issue with the method of keeping the food hot as it’s all a buffet system. Other hotels seem to be able to keep food hot but here it isn’t which spoils it. The lighting in the dining room is also very bright and so in the evening it feels a bit like being in a canteen, not a restaurant. Our room, facing the garden was large, clean and had everything we needed although it’s surprising how dated it was, comparing it to the lobby and bar, it needs refurbishing. In contrast to the dining room, the lighting in here was very poor, no central light existed. We did have some trouble with the lift cards, as did many others and this does need rectifying. We also had an issue with the pre-payment special offer with drinks at dinner where we were given the wrong information by two staff members which resulted in our bill being higher than expected on departure although we were given a free drink in compensation. As the hotel only appeared to be maybe a third to half full, the guy who tried to put some evening entertainment on seemed to be fighting a losing battle and it was very quiet which wouldn’t suit everyone.
