Hotel in zona Chinatown East Gate, Los Angeles

DO NOT STAY HERE! The biggest problem with this motel is the parking. There are a limited number of parking spots for guests of the motel. The staff failed to mention that it is PUBLIC parking not private parking for The Royal Pagoda Motel guest. Meaning anyone can park there, when ever they want, as long as they want. When booking a room I brought up the concern of the limited parking. The motel employee I spoke to said there is more parking on the side. I thought they meant on the side of the motel, another parking lot or garage. NOPE! He meant against the side of the main building of the motel with the very small parking lot. Nearby Chinatown has a very active night life so forget about parking in the street. If you leave for the evening and return later that night here is what they do when there is absolutely no legal parking. They will have you park against the side of the building or have you double park or triple park. Basically they will fill up the driveway of the parking lot blocking other cars in. A motel employee will ask for your room number and phone number. They will call you to move your car if you are blocking someone who needs to get their car out. Yes even at 2 a.m. when you are asleep. Myself and a few other guests of the motel had to move our cars for a non-guest of the motel. I asked the employee who called me to move my car how this person got an actual spot and he said he had no idea. While moving our cars the employee was trying to direct the non-guest out of the parking lot I witnessed a hit and run. The non-guest backed into a parked car in the motel parking lot. That driver and the motel employee acted like nothing had happened. At this point there was finally street parking. I felt my car would be safer parked out on the street a block away from the motel. And the other motel guests who had to move their cars were fighting for whatever space was available in the motel parking lot. Another thing is that the rooms are very small and this motel is old. Several electrical outlets in my room did not work. I could not plug in my phone or laptop chargers. Plus the parties in the Chinatown may end at a certain time but that doesn’t stop people from coming into the motel to keep the party going.

L'hotel è gestito da cinesi e la hall è vecchiotta e tutta quella moquette non ne migliora l'aspetto!! Camere vecchissime, biancheria troppo usata, colazione meno assortita del solito, ma caffè gratis tutto il giorno. All'una di notte suona l'allarme incendio e ci troviamo a scendere le scale di corsa e ci troviamo nella hall mezzi vestiti, con i portafogli in mano fino all'arrivo dei pompieri che nel giro di mezz'ora ci rassicurano e possiamo tornare ognuno nella sua camera. Per riassumere quindi: hotel modesto, d'altra parte prezzo accettabile e molto comodo per visitare a Los Angeles!

Questo hotel si trova nel centro di Los Angeles, vicino alla metropolitana, all'autobus e a Uber, il che è molto comodo. La hall dell'hotel è magnifica e al momento del check-in veniva girato un film. Questo hotel ha una storia di 101 anni e molti film sono stati girati qui. La reception e il servizio dell'hotel sono abbastanza cordiali e la camera è relativamente pulita. All'interno c'è caffè gratuito. Puoi chiedere alla reception due bottiglie di acqua minerale ogni giorno, ma puoi anche berla direttamente dal rubinetto americano. It was a Great Hotel, the location is great, very well connected to subway, lots of restaurant and fast-food around. The rooms and the facility is great, especially the 7th floor pool deck the staff there are very friendly, room is very comfortable and spacious, clean, have all amenities I needed, including the slippers which I used for the pool side. Some of the receptionist are very friendly, courteous especially the girl who extended my checkout time and the gentlemen Manny they made me feel home, also the concierge gentleman, I am from Asia and you definitely need people like them to make you comfortable. on the other had there were some receptionist who don't even want to smile, a smile cost nothing, it is because of these couple of them that the hotel might not get the guest back. Over all I will for sure come back again and there is no need for me to stay in other places, i use to stay in sheraton grand, but now I recommend this hotel and also myself will stay here again for sure. Servizio clienti rapido e cordiale..il primo hotel che ho prenotato a Los Angeles. Veramente stupito dalla vista dal tetto, indimenticabile, super rilassante

Era una stanza accogliente (giusta per una persona) e le dotazioni in camera sono ben pensate. Strutture sufficienti per il viaggiatore d'affari (sale riunioni, wifi veloce, lavanderie, ecc.). L'area non è delle più sicure (non si può fare a meno perché è nel centro di Los Angeles) ma fanno del loro meglio per offrire agli ospiti tranquillità ed è molto vicino a numerose attrazioni turistiche. Tutto sommato una buona esperienza e lo consiglierei ad altri viaggiatori.
