Had a lovely stay with fabulous breakfast in the conservatory! You probably should work your way through the breakfast menu. Paul was so helpful and accommodation was perfect with everything we needed and more! Lovely toiletries and bathrobes. Location was good just a short walk from pubs and restaurants.

Stylish and super comfy, with fabulous and freshly cooked breakfasts! Despite having eaten more breakfasts than I care to remember - these are the best, as they are freshly cooked to order with very tasty ingredients. Highly recommend the lovely Melford Room, where we have stayed twice. If you want a place that's quiet and intimate and just for adults, with super hospitality when you want it, then this is it. Perfectly located for walking to the pubs/restaurants/shops of Long Melford - of which there is loads of choice. Ideal place and area for a short break, or a week's holiday. Paul is super-helpful and welcoming, and a brilliant breakfast chef!

Very well appointed accommodation, privacy and quiet. Stunning breakfast choices and all round service. Well situated close to Long Melford within walking distance of a number of pubs and restaurants which Paul reviews and is very helpful in matching to meet you needs and budget.

The room on arrival was immaculately clean, beautiful presented and warm. There was a good selection on the hospitality tray with plenty of decaf tea and coffee. The bathroom had a good selection of toiletries and again was immaculately clean. The breakfast cooked by Paul was top notch, my wife’s pancake stack was delicious and my cooked breakfast spot on. We enjoyed an evening meal at the Onion Bhaji restaurant in Long Milford which we also highly recommend. All in all an excellent night away.

We recently stayed at The Mill in Long Melford, with our friends, and would thoroughly recommend staying there. Our rooms were exceptional, everything you could want and more. The location of The Mill was very good as you could walk into the village, where there were several pubs and teashops as well as independent shops. Walking out the other way you could access Melford Hall in a few minutes and further on the Church. The breakfasts, each morning were well presented and very plentiful. Our hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and places of interest to visit. We are hoping to return again next Spring to enjoy the ambience of The Mill.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Garden Room. The room was spotless and very tasteful, shower amazing and spacious with high quality products. Great choice at breakfast with generous portions of excellent local produce. Very good location with eateries within a 10 min walk. Will definitely return!

We have recently had a two day break at The Mill. It was a wonderful experience. We had the Melford room and it was superb. Well designed fantastic decor and we could not have asked for more. The breakfast was to die for probably our best ever. Paul provided detailed information on what to see, where to eat which was very helpful. THANK YOU

Such a lovely inn. We have been many times and the food and service is always excellent. The portion sizes are generous and the food freshly prepared. There is always someone front of house who really ensures everything runs smoothly. Well worth a visit , best in Long Melford!

We stayed 1 night and could not have been any more satisfied with this stunning B&B. Beautifully appointed room overlooking a private garden. Attention to detail was second to none. Wonderful breakfast in a welcoming conservatory and fabulous hosts. Cannot wait to stay here again.
