The Melville Hotel by Rokxy- Kings Cross

Das Hotel ist für einen London Trip ideal gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Zimmer war ok. Es wird jedoch nicht täglich gesäubert. Alles in Allem war es gemütlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

唯一的優勢就是位置

Prima di tutto ho chiamato prima di prenotare per chiedere se avesse un parcheggio elettrico. Hanno detto di sì, non lontano. L'ho prenotato. Il caricabatterie elettrico non funziona e il ragazzo ha detto che non c'è problema. Capisco che mettilo fuori dalla tua pagina web e non dire alla gente che è disponibile quando non lo è. Un'altra cosa che il bagno puzzava così tanto dal momento in cui sei entrato nella stanza della "famiglia". È stato terribile. La reception mi ha dato uno spray deodorante per ambienti. Giù le mani NON PRENOTARE. Ci sono altri ottimi hotel in giro.

Never Again! Not very well signed posted like other hotels on the same road, only plaques on the building, that I actually walked past the hotel. Was greated by a man after being let in with a couple who were having problems with the entry code. There's no check in desk, just a table with a laptop. As i checked myself in with the gentleman, it then take the man about 10mins to find the key to my room, as apparently my room is the only room which has a key. Which is a lie. Once found I was taken to my room by the man, which he took me outside of the reception door, down 50yards to another door, through a corridor, out a backdoor to this courtyard and these outhouse buildings were there are 2 of them. The guy opened the door showed me how to lock the door, then left me to my own devices. On inspection was the size of the this so called room. My first impression was what awful wallpaper, then the smell hit me that smelt like mould. Mould soon to be seen on the wallpaper by the door, then on further inspection behind the kettle table was more mould. I had no time to goto reception to ask for another room as the hotel was sold out. Lucky I had a mask with me, as I hate to think what I was inhaling. Bathroom was a ok, small but adequate if your lucky not to be over 6ft. No hand towel proved just a floor mat and bath towel. Bed was comfortable but I didn't sleep well at all. The cup provided for tea or coffee wouldn't even wash down a good breakfast (which is not provided by the hotel). For the price and yes I know it's london on a Saturday night, I have stayed in better conditions for half the price in a capital city. On leaving I made sure I had all my belongings, took the key back to reception were I was greated by a gentleman who only opened the door, told him I was checking out and handed the key back to him. No questions asked if my stay was ok etc. As I was walking away towards the train station, I can safely say I will not be returning and will be looking for a refund for my stay due to the conditions of having to stay in a room that had that much mould of the walls.

My 10 year old daughter and I stayed at the Melville as a birthday surprise for her along with a theatre trip, The room was decorated stylishly the bed was very comfortable, lovely powerful shower. To top it all off there was a birthday card and some treats left for my daughter. Such a lovely touch. Thank you to everyone at The Melville for such a lovely experience! We will be back again!!

It’s was a very pleasant experience and the staff were very friendly and very caring, we had accidentally forgot the insulin in the fridge for my son and the staff made it a priority to reach us out and stayed until we were able to pick it up, we were grateful and happy with the staff

Its possible there are some decent rooms in this hotel. Mine wasnt one of them. Reception was nice and staff seemed friendly enough. Room was in poor condition with a smashed plug socket, wallpaper hanging off, bathroom very small and no shower curtain so everywhere got soaked when you took a shower. Metal camp bed looking thing with a cheap matress and 2 very thin pillows. I dont like writing poor reviews as ive run businesses in hospitality and i know how reviews affect business. But this wasnt a particularly pleasant stay unfortunately and one id not look to repeat.

checkin / checkout process very clunky with poor communication. room very tired / stained sofa / smell of damp
