Craig Villa Guest House

We've just returned from another stay at Craig Villa in Dalmally, and it’s clear why we keep coming back. It's a perfect blend of authentic charm and informal comfort, making it the perfect base for exploring the stunning surroundings of Argyll and Bute and further afield into the Scottish Highlands . The rooms are full of character, spotless and cozy, offering everything you’d need for a restful night. Breakfast was a real treat that set us up nicely for the day ahead. What really stands out is the genuine warmth of the hosts, Ewan and Taryn. They’re clearly passionate about what they do, and it shows in the little touches—like their brilliant recommendations for nearby walks and places to visit. Craig Villa offers more than just accommodation; it’s a genuine slice of Scottish hospitality . Our next stay is already in the planning, and we’d recommend it to those who appreciate genuine warmth and comfort.

We highly reccomend this charming B&B. The house is lovely and beautiful on the outsie and on the inside. We had access not only to our bedroom, but also to the gorgeous and cosy lounge room with vinyl records, the piano, fireplace. The details of the interior design really made us feel like we were visiting an authentic Scottish houshold. The breakfast was delicious, a few wonderful hot dishes and few typical continental options. We loved it. We were welcomed by the absolute most lovely couple of the owners at the gate, they gave us a tour of the estate and made sure we had everything we needed, while still giving us our space. We had the most wonderful time here, definietly the best B&B we've stayed so far.

The proprieters are a super nice young couple. They have worked hard to update this cool old place and make it comfortable and welcoming. The location is nice; you can walk to the church or into the village, there is free parking, and the rooms were very nice. The breakfast was really nice; fresh, good food served with a smile.

Lovely hosts. Incredibly breakfast. Lovely views. Booked to come back next year. Lovely variety of kilts available. Plenty of neighbourly sheep and highland cows around. Heroic fighter who does not bloviates and prefers approbation. Food was welcoming. Was taken to view local sights and waa informed on the historical significance of everything.

We did not stay, but this review is for Taryn and Evan. They are kind, helpful and have hearts of gold. We were 4 senior ladies traveling, punctured a tire, and were trying to get roadside assistance for 9 hours. They both spent time, effort, and their own local phones to help us. We really appreciated them during our crisis and I would be proud to recommend their hospitality, and accommodation.

On arrival we were met by the owners, a great welcome, and we had our room upgraded at no extra cost. The room itself was very clean and comfortable with a great shower and tea and coffee was freely available. A buffet style cereal breakfast was just the start for a long drive the following day.

Dalmally is such a fantastic area to explore. Craig Villa is the perfect base. Comfortable beds and excellent breakfast.

The Heart of the Highlands A beautifully appointed guest house with wonderfully warm hosts who go to any length to ensure your comfort and enjoy the moment. We were stone’s throw from Glencoe, Fort William Loch Awe and Kilchurn castle to name just a few. Just of the main route tucked away in a quiet and peaceful location, time stood still, and we felt no pressure to rush of anywhere else. Secluded peaceful and close to all the highland magic that is Scotland at its finest. This is our second visit to Craige Villa Guest House. It will not be our last.
