Well located. Lots of rooms. Nice simple spa. Only breakfast could be a bit better. If you are late after 9am aside from the English breakfast they give to you freshly made, the other options in the table aren’t really stocked. Still okay

Hey, so I stayed at this hotel for a few nights, three nights to be specific, and it was probably one of the best hotels to stay in if you're visiting Brecon Beacons National Park in south wales. The staff was very friendly and they were accommodating. We had a room on the other side of the hotel where the Internet or Wi-Fi was not great. They moved our room temperature area with good wifi. I liked the room. It was big enough for two people with a single bed. The breakfast was good, and they served you an excellent Welsh breakfast. It could have improved but I think overall, it’s okay. Finally, the hotel is a bit aged but it has a good vibe and a good feeling for the area that it’s not all modern, so I like they’re keeping the old tradition in there. Finally if you are using Vodafone there is no Mobile phone reception at the hotel but I think they told that EE works. .🤓

Smooth check in, comfortable beds, delicious food and polite staff. Would recommend.

Me and my grandson were very pleased 😀 enjoyed the pool and the staff were very helpful and friendly I could not fault it very pleasant stay

Abbiamo soggiornato una sola notte presso il Nant Ddu Lodge ed è stata una splendida esperienza. La location è molto bella, all'interno del parco e accanto a un fiume (consiglio le camere River view), circondati da alberi. Le camere sono estremamente spaziose e pulitissime, dotate di ogni comfort. Abbiamo usufruito anche della splendida piscina, pulitissima, che deve essere prenotata a slot orari, molto comoda per la presenza di spogliatoi, bagni, docce, phon e bustine per portare via i costumi bagnati. La cena al ristorante è stata ottima, così come la colazione. Ma soprattutto il personale è straordinario, accogliente, gentile e sorridente. Ringrazio in particolare Molly, alla reception, che ha soddisfatto ogni mia richiesta con grande gentilezza e uno splendido sorriso. Consiglio assolutamente questo hotel anche per soggiorni più lunghi per godere del relax del posto.

Unfortunately very disappointing stay in terms of accommodation. The room we had number 6 in the old part of the building, should be fully renovated and damp proof as the issues are huge. As soon we got into the room the smell was very overwhelming, bleach and damp. Bathroom window was black and covered with damp dots, disgusting. The sleeping area similar where the window seal is. We had tried to move the rooms the same day we arrived but we couldn't as there wasn't any available. We had been told we could do it in the morning but when asked for it there's wasn't any ready yet and we were all geared up and ready for our day. It's a shame as the facilities were fine and the food was good. Those rooms shouldn't be available for people, it's wrong. Please can someone look into it. I had tried emailing the head od reception and the hotel manager, NO RESPONSE, obviously. We asked for a partial refund. In those conditions I would not recommend staying there!

Table booked in advance, special requirements given. Unsafe ramps for wheelchair user, she had to enter restaurant through French doors (after having to move car in disabled bay blocking the way!) Zero protein in the two vegetarian meals, cabbage undercooked, small portions. Monkfish very small portion. Chips OK.

Very pleasant setting and reasonable value. Room was a bit sparse and no shower, just a bath with attachment but no hook or curtain. No bottled water in the room. Restaurant , although a bit soulless, offered great food and very efficient, friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent too.

We visited this hotel about 17 years ago with our daughters and had really find memories of it. Sadly it didn't live up to expectations. Every member of staff we met were friendly and professional, but I wonder how often they have to deal with guests complaints. We were given room 36 which was at the top of the hotel and was probably called a suite. It had plenty of space, but was so characterless and unloved. There was a large kingsize bed with an ill fitting foam topper, and the bedlinen had all seen better days. The nail in the coffin was the bathroom, which was disgusting . The shower door had been removed, probably because it was broken, and a shower curtain erected to stop the water flooding the bathroom. There was mould and cracked tiles and the thermostat was broken, so the water was stuck at scorching, and we were unable to stand under it. I reported the latter because it was dangerous. An (empty) glass fronted fridge needed a good wipe down as it was fifty. On a positive note, someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing, and we had a really nice dinner there. The same applied at breakfast, a well cooked breakfast was included with good ingredients. It is such a shame as from the front it looks so promising. The cost of our room for one night was £160 including breakfast for two people.

Arrived after a long drive for a double birthday weekend, reception staff were really friendly and helpful, but we were disappointed when we got to our room. It had a funny smell and needs a total refresh, furniture too big for the room and very dated. Bathroom, although clean again was very dated with mould spots around bath. Not the same as any of the photos on the website, but we were too tired to complain after our drive. We were awoken at 1.30am and again at 4am by banging which lasted about 15/20 minutes, thinking it was the internal doors, but on inspection they are soft close so unclear what it was, not a great night sleep, especially after finding big dead spider under the duvet!. We did speak to the reception but they didn't seem to bothered. Cannot fault the food in the bistro, it was delicious and breakfast was also very good with a good selection. Location is well situated to get to all the surrounding activities , which is one if the reasons be booked. Changing rooms for the spa, again needs modernising. Overall, very average needs some TLC

We visited for Sunday Lunch. It was delicious. I had the roast chicken and Nutella brownie for dessert. There wasn’t much waiting time between courses. The staff were lovely and friendly and very attentive. I would recommend to family and friends.

Over rated and over priced! Very limited menu with extortionate prices. Starters…..pate…it was just ok! Mains………slow cooked lamb….very dry, had to ask for more gravy which was very salty! Dessert……sticky toffee pudding…..it was cold and was floating in way too much very thin toffee sauce! Sickly! All in all it was a terrible experience, will not waste my money going there again. This place used to have an excellent reputation but has gone down hill in my opinion.

Visited today for a spa day midweek deal at £69pp. This included £10 towards lunch and two 25minute treatments or one 50min treatment. Robe slippers and towel and use of the pool and jacuzzi. Having read many negative reviews we were a little worried....however it wasn't as bad as expected and we thought worth the money that we paid. The massages and treatment rooms were nice and staff friendly. The lunch was tasty and good value for the amount of food you got and did not take too long to arrive. The pool was nice temperature with plenty of loungers. However the jacuzzi looked very tired and had missing headrests and lots of missing floor tiles some of which came off whilst we used it. Areas of the pool sides and changing rooms were also quite run down and in need of cleaning and a refurb. This would be simple to do and could be done during the night or overnight and would really improve the standards and image of this hotel and spa. We did also notice some of the outside walls of the hotel were in need of a jet wash or paint in areas.

Another lovely stay - we love coming down to the Brecon Beacons to walk and this hotel is ideally situated. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent as always. The summer deal was excellent value. Thanks to everyone and we will see you again!
