The pub opened early so we could do a coffee stop with our group of classic car enthusiasts. Carl served us coffee with a smile, the sun shone and Amanda had even baked cookies for us. Good to see the Royal Oak open again after a change of ownership. A lovely visit

Have stayed here many times but quality poor now Mattress horrendous but staff immediately changed our room Second room fell off toilet seat as very loose - surely the cleaner would have noticed Bedside light flickered and stopped working Blinds not fitting windows Menu basic and poor quality food Not enough staff Tea and coffee excellent

We were camping just down the road and went in a few times. Went in for dinner on our last night (Friday) and had great food, great service and no behaviour to worry about in front of our 7 year olds. We'll be going back next year; hope it's just the same then!

Called for a meal lunchtime, food was delicious, home cooked fresh and excellent service, so friendly and even made me extra mushrooms as I loved them with my chickpea burger. My husband had lovely lasagne and the garlic bread also gorgeous. Highly recommend,will be calling again for sure, beautiful village too.

Went to this lovely pub Friday night, the place and staff are lovely, but the vile mouthed locals spoilt the whole evening! Quite why they were still being served when they were clearly all paralytic I don't know! The language being spoken, with children and families on holiday around them was appalling! The new management have dramatically turned this pub around, but they need someone there to take charge behind the bar!

After making a visit to Eylidr College. We thought we'd checkout the local pub for food and drink. We'd missed the dinner menu times, but the helpful staff, suggested we could have sandwiches and chips instead. We sat outside undercover and enjoyed the fleshly prepared food and loverly drinks. We'll definitely call in again after our next visit to Eylidr College.

Stopped in for dinner one evening and found we were lucky, they'd only be open 10 days. It feels a little spartan in the bar at the moment as the previous owner had apparently stripped the place and the new owner Lee is still seemingly "bedding in", but I'm sure it will become cosier in time. Menu is basic pub fare but was very well cooked - chips were delicious and crispy, gammon was thick and well-cooked (and plentiful!! - maybe a little too much!). All staff were pleasant and attentive. The patio is glorious on a sunny summers evening and there's a good sized car park to the rear. Note that the website is still managed by the previous owner apparently so the phone number is incorrect and its currently impossible to see the menu online.

Great to see the Royal Oak reopened. Had nice meal there last night. Really friendly atmosphere, staff very attentive, good food portions, two log fires burning. This is what a traditional village inn should be. Wish the new owners every success.Will be back on our next camping trip.

The pub is open Under New Management! The Royal Oak Inn, Rhandir-mwyn is open. Hooray! 👏Lovely to see smiling staff behind the bar! Open for good, fresh home cooked food. The open log fire gives a welcoming hug as you walk in. Nice to see everyone there supporting. Good Luck! To the new owners and staff.
