Domaine de Litteau

A home from home, have stayed here before and will again. Location is perfect, a little drive from the beach but very easy, didn't stop us going several times. Caravans are very clean and pleasant, staff are always friendly. Kids love the play facilities.

We stayed here in a campervan at the end of July with two children (8 & 4). The facilities were clean and well maintained. Impressed with the size of pitches and well spread out. Kids loved the pool, the naughty goats and the bmx track. We didn’t use the entertainment as we only wanted a base to explore, however as with other reviews it is very loud until reasonably late, but not too intrusive. Shop, as with other campsites, is expensive so recommend using supermarkets in nearby towns. Everyone friendly - would stay again.

There were many good aspects of our two weeks at Domaine de Litteau. There was plenty going on for our little ones (aged 7 and 6), and they especially loved the pools, playground with bouncy castle and sports facilities. It’s worth noting that the vast majority of clients are French, so if you want to chat to others or your kids to make friends, some knowledge of French is helpful. There is a free kids’ club every morning and afternoon and my children went to a few sessions and enjoyed it. One of the instructors spoke decent English and translated for them. We had two minor maintenance issues in our caravan and they were both dealt with very swiftly. Excellent customer service. The location is great and ideal for exploring Normandy and the D-Day beaches. The site also backs onto a beautiful and very quiet forest, ideal for walking and running. The downsides were the caravan itself - we found it very small, and we’d ordered bedding, but the sheets barely fit the beds! It was well equipped though. There is late and loud evening entertainment most nights if this is what you like. Our children didn’t stay up that late (things started at 8-9pm) so we just found it quite noisy, but it may be fine for others. The pool got very busy, and also is only open from 10am for non-owners. The changing rooms were small and very unclean. I was also very worried by the pool safety - you definitely need to watch your children! There is no checking of overcrowding on the water slide, and the lifeguards were often chatting or listening to music. I saw one lifeguard speak to a toddler who couldn’t swim and was separated from her parents, but she was then left all alone next to the pool.

Warning ⚠️ Have changed pool rules from swimming trunks to Lycra trunks or Speedo’s and threw out abruptly my children as entered the pool. When spoke to reception they just said go and buy new ones, rules have changed! Do we weren’t able to use the pool facilities. Dirty pool changing area and entrance. Rusty broken BBQ and rude reception when asked for replacement, almost turned into an argument as we requested a replacement “you send photos and we’ll bill the previous people!” Was the response. It’s rusty and falling apart it’s old not anyone’s fault, we’ve brought charcoal, can we please just have a replacement? Laughed at us and said no more go and ask a neighbour for one, then proceeded to speak, laughing amongst themselves And ignored us with zero response until we had no choice to leave. Took my itinerary sheet to state have loaded BBQ photos but, didn’t realise I had to enter at the same time items missing…. Again greeted by rudeness and contempt. I’d had enough phoned English phone line to ask for help and told we just take your booking you need to speak to receptionist, I explained how they were being and wouldn’t give me and a manger name etc.. and can siblu at least give me a name of the manager to speak to? Nope! Go back to reception. Disgusting customer service, extremely rude and non professional. Bed extremely uncomfortable and sheets didn’t fit correctly and wasn’t prepared to face the rude reception again. Great location to explore DDay beaches around half an hour to an hour depending which one you visit.

Really nice complex. Very clean. Friendly staff. Worth noting that men are not allowed to use the swimming pool wearing loose swimming shorts which was slightly annoying, Accommodation was extremely good. One of the best holiday homes we have had.

If only your discretion and charging/ refund procedures were as you would like reviews to be we would use you again. As they aren't we won't be booking again with you in the foreseeable future. Watch for the small print and take pictures of the accommodation before you touch anything.

Endroit très calme, en pleine nature, à 15min en voiture de la ville. Animation tous les jours, clubs enfants, 2 piscines couvertes, un snack, un bar et une supérette. Nous avons passé un très bon moment au calme dans ce camping. Mes 2 enfants ont apprécié l'air de jeux, la piscine et les minis clubs. Le Mobil home était très propre à notre arrivée. Placement idéal pour découvrir Saint Lô, les plages du débarquement, ect.... Le petit plus, ce serait un restaurant sur place mais il paraîtrait que ce soit dans les projets.. Je recommande cet endroit si vous voulez passer des vacances reposantes, et si vous aimez pêcher, il y a deux étangs sur place. Camping familial loin du brouhaha de camping usines qu'on peut trouver ailleurs. Nous y reviendrons !!!

Camping bien situé avec la forêt de Cerisy toute proche. Le cadre est sympa Le mobilhome et ses équipements sont nickels. Malheureusement la proximité du podium d'animation (30 metres) et la position du mobilhome en bordure de l'axe principal est venu gâché notre court séjour. Première soirée Dimanche. Soirée loto au podium et extinction des feux 0H30.. Lundi matin. Le personnel s'active sans trop se soucier de notre présence. Tracteur qui tourne 20 mn pendant le chargement... mais le comble...c'est la taille des espaces verts qui commence à 12h00 a proximité pendant notre repas . Bruit et odeur de gaz d'échappement. On demande aux employés si ils peuvent arrêter. Le responsable est contacté par les employés et vient gérer le problème. On lui explique notre incompréhension de cette pratique. Et là nous croyons rêver. Il nous explique qu'on est des égoïstes et je lui demande de cesser de nous prendre pour des imbéciles. La taille s'arrête à 12h45. Et à 13h00 la musique est mise en route au podium . Impossible de prendre notre repas dans le calme. Je me rends au podium . Ni animateurs ni vacanciers présents. Vide...on met de la musique pour personne........... juste pour le bruit de fond... Même scénario le mardi matin pour la taille de 12h00 à 12h45. Et musique à 13h00 au podium (vidéo enregistrée)... je ne comprends pas cette organisation.. Nous écoutons notre séjour départ le mercredi matin . Le directeur du camping a téléphoné au propriétaire du mobilhome pour leur dire que étions mécontents. Son comportement est inacceptable pour un responsable...

Très chouette camping familial avec beaucoup d'animations pour les grands et les petits. Personnel gentil, mobil home très agréable et nickel avec des petites attentions qui font plaisir. Le seul point d'amélioration se situe sur la laverie qui mériterait 2 machines et sèche linge supplémentaires
