Hotel in zona Roc de Veyges, Leysin

Having previously stayed in chalets for our family ski holidays (our son is now 9) we felt a hotel would fit our needs better for our 5 night stay. I found this hotel on the internet, booked direcetly as it offered the best price. We did our own transfers from Geneva airport using the train, then changing to the tram in Bex, the hotel did point out before arrival that the train to Aigle then the bus was slightly quicker, but we prefered the tram option. This was all easy to book on line with the swiss train network and is much more cost effective than a car/taxi transfer. Our was around £150 return for the 3 of us. We also booked our ski pass, ski hire and our sons ski lessons directly on line, the hotel did offer on our arrival but I'm sure it would have been at a premium. On arriving at 2pm our room wasn't quite ready, as check in was from 3pm. But this did give us opportunity to collect our ski passes from one of the automated machines using the QR code, and collect our hired skis from the shop next to the hotel 'Sports House' who were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has ski lockers for your boots and skis Once checked in we took our suitcases to our room, (there wasn't an offer of any help) having been up since 3am and clearly looking tired! Our room was a superior double (single beds pushed together) and a camp type bed for our 9 year old son. I had read that some found the hotel noisy, our room was on the -0 level just 1 storey high, so nobody above and hardly and passing people so it was perfect and quiet, other than party goers coming home at 2 am most mornings (not the hotels fault) The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. Strangley in the lobby/wardrobe area it had a fabulous tiny kitchen with a microwave, full sized undercounter fridge, hob and sink. There was 4 plates, bowls and cutlery but no kettle or pans. We used the fridge to cool the water etc. I would be lovely if they included a kettle, but I guess they want the spend in the hotel not people making tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was delicous, and a good choice of hot/cold. The ski lift was a short bus ride away, the bus stop just outside the hotel, so easy to get to the lifts. We ate out at local resturants all but 1 evening when we ate at Peppino's, the pizza was very nice indeed. We had hot chocolates in the hotel bar on two occasions, and got overcharged on both occasions, until I pointed out the error. We used the swimming pool 3 times, it was lovely to swim after a day on the slopes, the hotel provided dressing gowns and towels. Our room was cleaned each day by the time we got back in from skiing, we did end up with a huge amount of towels, they left clean but never took used away! The hotel loaction for the village is excellent, a few minutes walk to the local resturants and the co-op. I was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel in terms of both hard and soft product. The hotel and its surroundings are very well kept and everyone in the hotel is extremely helpful. The lobby, spa, pool and rooms are all very well thought of and beautifully decorated. Unlike the rest of the Europe they don’t seem to be short on staff and every request is handled quickly and with care. The only thing I would want to see in the future is some changes to their rooms. As many families with small children visit this hotel they absolutely need to put minibars in their rooms. No one wants to go the bar they have on every floor or call for room service for a glass of milk or some baby food in the middle of the night. Also our room did not have a physical door for the shower room, I do not know about you but I don’t like my little children running in and out as I am trying to have a shower. Also no locks on their toilet door which was a seperate area. These minor things however do not take anything away from the 5 stars this property deserves.

Quality of this hotel well exceeded our expectation. The room is very spacious with good amenities and beautiful views from the balcony. Food served at the breakfast is great and we enjoyed dining at the outdoor terrace with fresh air and fantastic view. The hotel is located in the center of the village with restaurants and shops within a short walk. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi a lot and it is as big as a small indoor swimming pool. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We had the chance to meet and talk to the new owner who has made lots of efforts to make it an upscale property while still charge very reasonable rates. We are lucky to have chosen this hotel for our short stay in the village during this summer and will definitely stay here again for a ski holiday next time.

Il mio soggiorno presso Chalet RoyAlp Hotel & Spa nelle montagne svizzere non è stato altro che spettacolare. Le visioni degli Alpi circostanti erano eccitanti, creando un ambiente tranquillo e pittoresco che si sentiva come un sogno. La mia camera era spaziosa, bellamente decorata, e aveva una vista fantastica sulle montagne. Le strutture erano di alto livello, e il letto era incredibilmente comodo, assicurando un riposo di notte. Il bagno era un’evidenza assoluta della mia permanenza. La gamma di trattamenti e strutture disponibili erano impressionanti, e mi sono lasciato sentire rigiovanito e pamperato. L'atmosfera tranquilla e il personale professionale lo hanno reso un'oasi di relax. Il menu ha una varietà di piatti deliziosi, fatti di ingredienti freschi e locali, e ogni pasto è stato un piacere culinario. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, e le viste panorami della zona da pranzo sono state aggiunte alla fascinante esperienza generale. In generale, il mio soggiorno al Chalet RoyAlp Hotel & Spa è stato veramente inoltrabile. Raccomando fortemente questo hotel a chiunque cerca una via di lusso e tranquilla nelle montagne svizzere. Non posso aspettare di tornare!

Partendo dal presupposto che in Svizzera i prezzi sono almeno il doppio rispetto all'Italia, anche negli ostelli è difficile trovare una sistemazione economica. Per il pernottamento di una notte in piena stagione (15 agosto) ho speso 49 CHF, ed era la sistemazione più economica a Montreux. Avendo terminato il lungo tour della Svizzera posso affermare che la sistemazione è stata soddisfacente, sia per la comodità (si trova sul lago e si raggiunge il centro tranquillamente a piedi), sia per l'abbondante colazione mattutina, cosa mai trovata altrove. Stanze e bagni puliti, personale cordiale. Il wi-fi funziona solo al piano terra (sigh)

Eden Palace Hotel a Montreux, con camere spaziose e il miglior rapporto qualità prezzo... Il personale è gentile e la mini terrazza con vista sul Lago Lemano è davvero impressionante~~~

Due to the recent name change which we weren’t aware of, we walked past the hotel without realizing it as the signage was so tiny! There’s ongoing Reno @ Lobby - which wasn’t a big deal. We received a warm welcome from the staff esp the gentleman (sorry, missed out the name) who was apologetic about the non-communication wrt name change etc. He proceeded to upgrade us and it was an excellent treat! The hotel’s location is absolutely fabulous- right on promenade, next to the lake. Beautiful awesome (day & night) view from our window. The bathroom, which seemed to have been recently renovated, is nice and clean but is a bit tiny. In room speaker was great! Complimentary drinks fm mini fridge. Breakfast buffet has good selection , even with a customized / on request egg station. A very lovely pleasant stay !

Montler ha soggiornato due notti, l'hotel ha scelto per molto tempo, e non ha scelto alcun errore.La vecchia carta di cinque stelle, sia l'ambiente che il servizio, è di prima classe.Aprire la porta dell'hotel, la bellezza come la pittura, la montagna di neve e il lago è coperto.La strada del lago fuori dall'hotel è anche molto bella, a circa dodici minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria. E'un forte consiglio.

Con nostra figlia di 3 mesi siamo andati a Ginevra e abbiamo pianificato una fermata a Vevey. Parcheggi sono situati proprio davanti all'hotel e costano qualcosa. La nostra camera era molto grande, luminosa e pulita. Un letto per bambini è disponibile su richiesta. Purtroppo l'hotel non è situato nel centro di Vevey e a piedi sarebbe troppo lontano. C'è un ristorante all'hotel, ma non abbiamo usato. L'acqua di una fonte è disponibile gratuitamente per riempire l'acqua nel corridoio dell'hotel.
