Le Grand Hôtel Le Touquet

I left the Grand Hotel Le Touquet with mixed feelings. The exterior has some of the grandeur of a real Grand Hotel, and the lobby and bar areas match this impression. My room, on the other hand, while generally comfortable, was designed in a Shabby Chic style that felt out of place in a Grand Hotel. The room was clean and the furniture was in good condition, though a front panel on the cupboard looked dislodged and the carpet had an almost dizzying pattern. The bed was a bit too soft for me. The bathroom was large and mostly comfortable but it had no shaving mirror. I reported to the reception that my toilet seat was not fixed correctly, and it was repaired shortly afterwards. The hallway to my room was clean but had a strange sweet smell, likely from an air “freshener.” The staff at the reception, bar (with its very large selection!), and restaurant were friendly, but English was not widely spoken throughout the hotel. The Grand Hotel Le Touquet has potential but is not quite there yet.

A very smart hotel with a large indoor pool. The receptionist was very helpful and booked a restaurant for us. There is free on site parking. Our third floor room had a nice view and air conditioning. We did not have breakfast as it was not included in the price we paid. Le Touquet was very busy as it was Bastille weekend so probably not the best time of year to visit!

The staff are pleasant and hotel is ok, dated interiors, the room clean but basic and bed comfortable. Pool is great the atmosphere very chemical and furniture low quality not made for commercial use (lounger collapsed). Breakfast was normal buffet style.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location was excellent—convenient and well-situated. The spa area was lovely and easily accessible, which added a relaxing touch to the experience. The food was also delicious and exceeded expectations. The only minor issue was with room maintenance, which could use a bit of improvement. However, it didn’t significantly impact my stay. Overall, I’m very satisfied and would happily return in the future.

DONT STAY!, mould in rooms, stains everywhere, air conditioning not working, ceiling coming down over bed, got food poisoning, staff picking at food- hair on plates. Got home to find unauthorised charges to my credit card. Staff very rude unhelpful- now recovering monies via my bank. Please beware!!

If you are looking for a run down room with the smell of the sewer emanating for the bathroom then this is the place for you. If you then want to go to reception to receive an abject response from a totally disinterested staff member who summons a "maintenance" man to come to your room armed with a bottle of some chemical, then this is again what you are looking for. To make your experience even more enjoyable, this chemical introduces another spectrum of foul aromas to the extent that it will make your spouse have a migraine and billious. When you then go down to speak to your mono-syllabic friend on reception who by now is even more disinterested but who comes up with the marvellous suggestion of giving you another room [not an upgrade, which you can doubt is even available within this substandard yet costly feeble excuse for a grand hotel], then again another great reason for wasting your hard earned money on a room like Room 416 that is in that part of establishment that the sign in the corridor that says the hotel is undergoing modernisation. We left to seek a habitable room in a "proper" hotel. Go on a weekend as we did on the 13/14 July, and you will be told that there is no manager on duty at the weekend although you will receive an email from their chef de reception 6days later refusing refund but telling you "that the wellness of our customers is our priority" - Mon Dieu!
