We had dined here 15 years ago with teenagers, mmmm - but on this trip we were given Room 15 which was very clean, had a lovely view and was very quiet . Les Hospitaliers is very near the top of Poet Laval , within 50 yards of the Donjon / Commanderie of the old fort.Walking round the 13th century Commanderis very intersting and the Hotel is right in the centre of the action .Dinner - the Hotel has a lovely dining terrace with great views over the valley. Service was good and cheerful. The menu is smallish. We had Salmon Tartare as a starter which was very small. Mains - Pork Poitrine with large truffle flakes-, which was fussily prepared but very good and vegetarian Ravioli , which was small . The wine list was large , Rhone Valley wines , Burgundies but plenty of other French wines, we had a lovely Chateauneuf Du Pape. We didnt have a Dessert but Coffee on the viewing terrace came with lovely Petits Fours. The restaurant is lovely but portion sizes rather small , say yes to the offered bread. This is a lovely Hotel . Only a handful of parking spaces at the Hotel but 100 yards away is a free car park with 30-40 spaces. We didnt have breakfast as we left early the next day for the 585 mile journey back to Eurotunnel Coquelles.
