We paid LeGrec two months in advance for a week (301 EUR) and received an instant "confirmation" eMail. However, the code the sent us was *not* for the key box, but for calling their provided cell phone number where they allegedly *would* tell us the key box secret. However, on the day we arrived in France (May21st) we attempted to call them for hours, but the phone was switched off all the time. Yes, we called their correct French number with proper country code, it was not our error. Nobody was reachable. Only the message in French, that this device is currently not available. We drove there during Check-In hours but nobody would ever open their dusty dirty front door. Later we managed to talk to their neighbors who live in the same house and we talked to them in fluent French. They told us they hardly ever saw anybody there for several months, neither customers nor the owner. Maybe he died, no clue. We instantly filed a Paypal case on May 21st, today is June the 9th. Next day (May22nd) we tried to call them another round of times, with the same results. The first night we had to spend in the cold car, since no other hotel would take us. Next day (evening of May22nd) we booked, after several hours of search, at a higher price tag the last hotel that was still available and paid the first night at the desk and the remaining 5 nights again via www.trip.com and paypal, to make it clear not we are cheating. To my surprise not even www.trip.com ever reached out to us and in fact apparently didn't at the minimum respond to the paypal case. I really have to wonder. NOT RECOMMENDED. Especially not LeGrec, but I also have to wonder about www.trip.com's 3 weeks long inaction. I now uploaded all footage and bills to paypal and sadly have to esacalate this case, as nothing else appears to work. To my luck I always use paypal for the checkout.
