Sleeps 4 The Happy Hawk is located in the Heart of historic and downtown Lawrence and only one block to the vibrant Massachusetts Street. Walk into the two-story gorgeous lobby, to the elevator, that will take you up to this stylish Studio "Plus" condo - meaning it has a separate King Bedroom with a walk-in closet. This newly remodeled condo was designed in a modern and unique BoHo scheme while adding true tones of imaginative Jayhawk touches and cozy furnishings, creative embellishments, and bedding, which are super relaxing and comfortable. Location, Location, Location! Enjoy walking to the shops, award-winning restaurants, galleries, entertainment (live music and independent films) and nightlife, in this secured building. Also nearby are walking and biking trails, city parks and a municipal pool. This condo is located only a mile from the KU campus and two miles from Highway I-70 and Allen Fieldhouse. On Saturdays, there is the popular local Farmer's Market in the adjacent parking lot that you can overlook from the condo's Juliet balcony. The street this building is on, is also often among Lawrence's Parade streets, so you really won't miss being among all of the action in town if you stay here. This small but mighty condo has everything you will need to have a home-base in Lawrence. The Kitchen, Living Room, and Eating Area make up the Great Room with its industrial 10' garage door/Juliet Balcony that brings in all-day natural light, city and campus views. The Living Room has a Smart TV w/DirecTV, games, books, room darkening, privacy curtains and a sectional that can also pull-out into a Queen bed if needed. The updated Kitchen has all the essentials you will need for your stay, but there is also a BBQ grill on the 2nd floor Terrace that also offers a fireplace, loungers and a new Hot-Tub for all of our guests to relax and experience city living. This is a luxury condo building and the owners and management do their best to keep it high-end and safe for everyone who has the pleasure to stay here. NOTE: Must be 25 or older to book and no 3rd party bookings allowed. NO Smoking of any kind inside the building or condo, NO Pets and NO Parties allowed by law. This condo has strict HOA rules that guests must also follow. So please read all of the booking rules regarding quiet hours, no smoking, no parties, no pets, parking rules and extra visitors. Also please note that the "Host Fee" in payment details is the one-time cleaning fee. The condo is not child-friendly as we do not offer a crib, playpen child protection items or a bathtub. Plus there is a garage door/Juliet balcony that can be dangerous especially for children. ALL guests that rent and stay in this condo acknowledge the inherent risk of such a garage door/balcony and by booking this condo, the renter agrees not to hold the owner/host liable for any injuries resulting from the garage door/Juliet balcony. Highly recommend Hawksnest Such an amazing space, decorated with KU colors of red and blue ! Very comfortable king bed with large closet . The best was the garage door feature off kitchen we opened at night to enjoy the fresh air ! Such a unique feature . Best location and walkable to downtown shops and restaurants . Close to campus. Easy parking in adjacent lot and had no problems with parking ! Would stay there again and highly recommend ! Also well stocked with the cutest wine glasses and coffee mugs !

Juli was a fantastic host. Clear communication and went over the top on ensuring we understood the local parking policies to avoid any fees. The Happy Hawk was clean and spacious and also in walking distance to anything downtown. This was a great stay and we’ll be sure to return next time we are in Lawrence!

Graduation weekend We felt so welcome! There was a greeting card and decorations! What an amazing place. We had no trouble with parking even on graduation weekend (no parking ticket!). Such a great location for all the festivities and outings. We could walk to nearly all parties and the shuttle stop for commencement was great. A great weekend. Well worth the price.

Great Lawrence Downtown Experience I initially had some troubles establishing my Vrbo account and had to cancel my stay and establish a new account. Juli was on top of those communications and even offered to hold the accommodations while I did so. I was easily able to make reservations for the same space, Juli proactively answered all my questions along the way. I arrived for my stay, had all the codes, parked as suggested, and enjoyed the comfortable and convenient loft with no issues at all. Great first Vrbo experience!

Great Studio Apt Great location, clean, comfy bed, I'd book again. Parking is a bit of a juggle but the owner gives you info before hand to navigate the parking lots making it easier. Given the location, that would not deter me from renting again. You can tell that the owner is very attentive in making sure your stay is comfortable.

KU Graduation The Happy Hawk far exceeded our expectations for our weekend visit to Lawrence! What a perfect spot, close to all the Mass Street favorites! We were celebrating our son’s graduation from KU, and the Happy Hawk provided every bit of Jayhawk nostalgia.. so fitting for the occasion! Perfectly stocked kitchen, comfortable bedding, and ample amenities! The owner was quick to respond to any questions prior to check-in and provided thorough information regarding the property, local attractions, and parking (which was easy)! Our only regret was not finding this place sooner! 10/10 and would highly recommend!
