Hacienda Hato Verde

We stayed here for 2 nights and were very pleased with it. The location is great with wonderful views of Cotopaxi and Chimborazo. We were in one of the outside rooms which was spacious, had comfortable beds and a heater. There was also a fire, which would have been lit if we had wished. Kay, the manager was very accommodating, providing advice, information and generally being extremely helpful but not imposing. His demenour and sense of humour added to our enjoyment. The food (a lot of it local) was first class.

Had a lovely two day stay at Hacienda Hato Verde. The rooms were very comfortable and the food was local and very good. Great views of Cotopaxi and Chimborazo volcanos. Great to stay at a working farm and have access to the grounds. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the recent turn of events concerning my reservation at your hotel. I had eagerly booked a stay for my family, consisting of eight individuals, including my mother, sisters, and niece, for this upcoming June 2023. This trip holds significant importance to us as it is a girls' trip, and it was intended to be a special occasion for my mother and aunts, who are originally from Ecuador but have never had the opportunity to visit Cotopaxi. I specifically chose your hotel due to its reputation for providing amazing views and a wide range of activities. The prospect of experiencing the beauty of Cotopaxi and enjoying the amenities at your property filled us with excitement. However, approximately two weeks ago, I received an email from your property informing me that my reservation would be canceled due to an accidental overbooking caused by a group reservation. I must admit, I was taken aback and deeply disheartened by this news. It is difficult for me to comprehend how our reservation, made months in advance, could be disregarded in favor of another group's reservation. I feel let down and disrespected by this turn of events. As a result of this cancellation, I am now left scrambling to find suitable accommodation for our party of eight in Cotopaxi. The task of securing alternative arrangements that offer comparable accommodations, amenities, and pricing has proven to be quite challenging, particularly given the considerable amount of time that has passed since my initial reservation back in February. I feel compelled to share my experience with others who may be considering booking with your hotel, particularly those who are traveling from afar. I urge them to exercise utmost caution and thoroughly verify their reservations to avoid facing a similar situation where their stay is unexpectedly compromised. I sincerely hope that you can understand the immense disappointment and frustration I am currently experiencing. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and reflect upon the impact such a situation can have on your guests. I enjoyed our stay at the hacienda. It was like a luxurious old hunting lodge. Played with the dogs, pet the horses, had great views and a really nice meal. Jorge put out an amazing 3 course meal and Kay was an excellent host and very engaging. Yes it was cold (we are from the Cayman Islands) but for me it added to the mystique and we had a fire place in the common area and a wood burning stove in the room. Very unique property and would definitely stay again.

Een prachtige haciënda waar Cesar het boerenbedrijf runt en de wedstrijd paarden en Maria de gastvrouw is voor de authentiek ingerichte kamers en gemeenschappelijke ruimtes. Allebei zijn ze ontzettend gastvrij, we hebben er met veel plezier 4 nachten gebruik van gemaakt. Ideale lokatie voor de Quilotoa loop (wij hebben onze bagage bij ze achter gelaten) en de Cotopaxi.

Cero recomendable. Fuimos en feriado de carnaval, y a pesar de que promocionan cabalgatas, caminatas y actividades de yoga no tienes absolutamente nada para hacer. El lugar tiene un olor desagradable en la parte social m a pesar de que las habitaciones si están limpias. La cena tiene un costo demasiado alto para lo que ofrecen y a pesar de manifestar a la dueña que no íbamos a cenar nos quiso cobrar el valor demasiado la comida. La dueña es cero amable, empática y se desentiende de los huéspedes en cuanto llegas. Ahora entendemos porque estaba vacío el lugar en feriado. Muy mala experiencia.
