MMinStaying at this traditional Korean thatched-roof house (chogajip) in Jeonju was such a special and unforgettable experience!
I booked this place for my friend visiting from the U.S. to give her a unique taste of Korean culture—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location was great, the room was clean and cozy, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful :)
After booking, I recommend contacting the host in advance to let them know your estimated arrival time—it really helps with check-in. For international guests, it may be a bit difficult to communicate, so having someone help with the message is a good idea!
If you’re visiting Korea, don’t miss the chance to stay in a beautiful chogajip and experience a piece of traditional life. Highly recommended! ❤️

TthewandercuratorSuch a lovely, unforgettable experience of staying in a traditional hanok pension. Owners are kind and mainly Korean-speaking locals. They may not be there during check in, so remember the room name in your booking for easy identification, or inform them of your exact arrival time to ensure a smooth process. Our room was cosy but had a comfortable double bed, TV, cold water in fridge, Korean bath towels and clothes hooks. (Hot water kettle and mugs can be found in the mini lounge hut near the gate.) The spacious and separated bathroom was rare, and the ondol floor was such a warm treat in winter. We were even given freshly made tteok and honey as breakfast treats. Good value in the heart of Jeonju, within minutes walk of everything. Thank you for the hospitality! We had a healing stay.

UUtente ospiteStayed during winter. Place has all the modern amenities needed (coffee, water, floor heating, hot water/ proper pressure/ toiletries for shower, etc) while maintaining the quaint charm of a hanok.
Owner/ staff were very friendly and helpful. It made the experience in Jeoju very welcoming. Limited (maybe a bjt more) English but good enough to communicate for check in, house rules and any questions we have on the area!
Location wise, it is walking distance to hanok village, easy for taxis to stop assuming youre booking one to and from the bus terminal with your luggage.
Love it so much. Will definitely book again if I visit Jeonju.

LLunalaHo avuto il soggiorno più bello a One Madison a Jeonju davvero inoltrabile.
Questo hotel mixa perfettamente il comfort moderno con l'eleganza di un angolo coreano tradizionale. Dalla mia arrivo, mi sentivo come se fossi entrato in un sogno tranquillo ed estetico. L'architettura conserva il vero fascino del hanoco, ma tutto all'interno si sente lussuoso e pensato.
Una delle mie parti preferite è stata la vasca da bagno tradizionale, ispirata al design classico di Hanok , che ha reso l'intera esperienza ancora più speciale e unica. Prendendo un bagno, sembrava di tornare in tempo, ma con tutto il comfort moderno che potevi desiderare.
L'atmosfera è calma, intima e incredibilmente fotogenica. Ogni angolo dell'hotel è bellamente curata. I dettagli, l'illuminazione, le texture tutto si sente intenzionale e armonioso.
Se stai visitando Jeonju e vuoi un soggiorno che si sente culturale, elegante e confortevole allo stesso tempo, questo è assolutamente il posto. Mi sono innamorato di lui e rimarrei qui al 100%.

UUtente ospiteThe place had a cozy, homey vibe that made me feel right at ease. From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us warmly with his charming eye smile and was always eager to help. The room was great, featuring a TV, a mini fridge and a spacious bathroom stocked with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
We visited during winter and the room was wonderfully warm, creating the perfect retreat from the cold. We even had the opportunity to prepare our own breakfast - eggs, bread, butter, jam, coffee and milk. To top it off, I did my laundry there, which was incredibly convenient.
The owner went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He’s genuinely one of the kindest Koreans I’ve met during my trip. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I absolutely fell in love with this place. I would definitely return!

UUtente ospiteThe location is very convenient. A quick 10 minute walk to the hanok village where there are lots of cafes and restaurants. There are buses connecting to Jeonju station and a taxi is less than 10 AUD. My bed and room were clean. There was good luggage storage space. The sheets were clean, but instead of a pillowcase, there was just a flat piece of fabric to put over the pillow. I received a new towel each day (stayed two nights), but my old towel wasn't removed. The toilet felt slightly cramped but the showers were fine in terms of space. In one of the shower rooms, it was unclear which way was hot/cold water on the tap because the stickers marking that had worn off. There is a basket to put your clothes in hanging off the top of the shower cubicle, but you might struggle to reach it if you're very short. I didn't receive express instructions about luggage storage, but when I asked staff, they gave me a locker to leave my suitcase in.

위치는 시청바로 앞이라 교통도 좋구요
한옥마을까지는 도보로 10분 조금넘게 걸리는데 오가는길이 다 명소들이라 걸어다닐만 합니다
인근에 현대옥부터 해서 맛집들도제법 있구요~
암튼 딸과 들이 아주 만족스러운 2박3일 이었습니다!

UUtente ospiteA convenient enough location - at rhe extreme eastern edge of the Hanok village area - still within walking distance of everything you'd want to see and experience in Jeonju.
Although refurbished plainly, the ”pension” room served its purpose - Hanok accomodation by the site.
In my opinion, I think that the room was still undersized ((no room for even a chair or small table) while the washroom was bigger than needed. Small towels, and a finicky door lock could also be addressed.
That said, a very comfortable bed 😀, as opposed to a futon.
Access to the city bus and train station best done by arranging for a taxi as the bus routes on the highway just above the place, are neither reliably scheduled nor matched transit app (at least the one I had.)
