Hotel vicino a Castello Okayama, Okayama

This was my second time staying at Abest Grande Hotel, and once again, the experience was excellent. The service is extremely good — all staff are very polite, welcoming, and always greet guests with a genuine smile. We were offered a welcome drink upon arrival, which was a very nice touch. The staff were also very helpful in calling a restaurant on our behalf to assist with making a reservation, which we truly appreciated. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby transportation, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it a great base for exploring the city. Overall, the hospitality made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of throughout the stay. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

The staff I came came across were all very polite and had welcoming smiles, no matter at the reception desk or the restaurant on 20/F. I enjoyed my stay here, but it felt comparable to the 3 star hotels, just slightly better especially thanks to the fabulous breakfast and location of breakfast…If hotels have half stars, i would think it’s’more of a 3.5 star hotel instead of a 4. I have a few suggestions which the hotel can look into to improve in the future. 3 Things to improve on: 1) I picked this hotel because I read other reviews saying the hotel is connected to a bridge from the Okayama station. This is true but unfortunately there were no signs in the station to guide travellers unlike another hotel like Granvia. Google suggested that I look for the west exit which I did, but I ended up being at the ground level hence had to bring big suitcase all the stairs…then I spotted the bridge and ANA crowne plaza from the street 2) cleanliness can be improved. There’s a UCC drip coffee machine in the room. I don’t drink coffee, and the box for the drip coffee selection was refilled. However I spotted a used capsule on the floor near the wall. The bin was not blocking the view, so the cleaners could’ve easily spotted the rubbish if they had been a little more careful and looked under the table when they have to clear out the rubbish bin anyway. 3) I sent a message to the hotel via TRIP.com. The message wasn’t replied promptly, as in within a few hours. Ultimately it didn’t matter anymore, I arrived at the hotel before somebody managed to reply me. Maybe it’s the system that’s problematic which may have caused a lag? Or staff only look at mails/messages when not too busy at the front desk?

Family comes with 4 beds (instead of 2 as indicated in trip.com description). Room is pretty spacious, bed is a bit hard and bathroom is a bit narrow, but overall still comfortable. Location is good, walking distance to JR stations, Aeon with good varieties of food at the food court. Near to big camera, animate, donki and lots of shopping options at Aeon too. Will definitely stay here again.

Ho preso un treno da Kurashiki a Okayama e ho soggiornato in un dormitorio femminile in questo ostello per due notti. Dalla stazione JR di Okayama, camminate verso l'uscita ovest di Hokan-cho e attraversate la via dello shopping. Sono circa 15 minuti a piedi e sono facili da trovare con una mappa. L'ostello non ha molte camere, ma il personale è stato cordiale e accogliente. Mi hanno mostrato la mia stanza e mi hanno spiegato dove si trovava il bagno. Non parlo giapponese e il mio inglese è limitato, ma la loro gentilezza e pazienza sono state davvero meravigliose. L'ostello è una casa tradizionale giapponese a due piani. Il primo piano è la hall con una piccola area comune attrezzata con forno a microonde, tostapane, frigorifero e alcuni libri. Il secondo piano è la camera degli ospiti e tutti i dormitori femminili sono occupati. C'è un lavabo unisex, due bagni e due docce. Le docce avevano una buona pressione dell'acqua ed erano dotate di articoli da toeletta. Ho prenotato 220 RMB a notte, un prezzo leggermente più alto rispetto ad altri ostelli nelle città giapponesi, dato che era un weekend. Spazzolini da denti, dentifricio e asciugamani non erano forniti. L'ostello è piccolo e accogliente, situato fuori dal centro città, il che rende piacevole passeggiare nel quartiere tradizionale. I miei coinquilini sono stati molto gentili e le sistemazioni erano piuttosto confortevoli. Durante questo viaggio, abbiamo visitato il Giardino Korakuen di Okayama, uno dei tre giardini più famosi del Giappone, così come il Castello di Okayama, il museo d'arte e la biblioteca. Okayama è davvero bellissima e merita di essere esplorata. Spero di rivedervi un giorno!

Questo hotel è un po 'datato nel centro di Okayama. Anche se la posizione è molto centrale, la distanza dalla stazione è un passo abominabile 1.2km, che è appena fuori da passo, soprattutto quando con bagagli. Il colazione è buono, ma a volte il personale si inonda e le tasche non vengono pulite in modo approfondito. L'hotel non offre molte strutture, con un bagno adatto per i viaggiatori di business.

L'hotel è perfettamente situato. Non lontano dalla stazione Okayama. E ci sono molti ristoranti e negozi vicino. Puoi anche raggiungere il castello Okayama a piedi (circa 20-25 minuti) La stanza è molto pulita. Il letto è grande. Ci siamo riposati molto bene dopo lunghe passeggiate. C'è solo una lacuna: non è possibile aprire la finestra. Ma non è molto. Anche il personale di ricezione è perfetto. Anche se non conoscono bene l'inglese, sono ancora assolutamente pronti ad aiutare con qualsiasi domanda, tra cui inviare il bagaglio al nostro prossimo hotel. Il colazione era anche buono. Siamo sicuri che rimarremmo qui ancora una volta.

A little walk from Okayama station but near AEON mall. There's no English Name of the hotel on site and just go with google map. Check in was fast, starts at exactly 4PM. Breakfast and Dinner are free🫰Room is big for Japanese standard. Stayed for 2 nights as a base for my Kurashiki and Takamatsu itinerary.

Perfect location, main station close by, convenience store just a couple minutes away. The room was also not too bad, though it wasn't entirely clean. Some dust haven't been cleaned, in mostly unnoticable places though, like really high up or behind the TV. And even though we haven't met any staff members it wasn't that hard to check in or check out. Though there was difficulty of getting inside the building, as we didn't receive the door code through email. Good thing there were some helpful residents of the hotel who helped us to get inside. Either way final score would be 8.5/10

Small room with less facility. I open a door and it is a bed with no space to put your belonging if your bag is large. I love to walk to Aeon mall from this place 10 min and enjoy duscount food there.
