the hotel is more than half hour walk to confucius temple, prepare to walk abit when u visit the temple. Entrance is right inside small alley and local cab driver had a hard time to send us back as local stay at the alley also driving their bike/bicycle using the same alley for traveling. UUtente ospiteLa posizione del B&B è eccezionale; sia Laomendong che il Tempio di Confucio (Fuzi Miao) sono facilmente raggiungibili a piedi. Nelle immediate vicinanze c'è anche il Museo delle Mura della Città. Il servizio è discreto, anche se sarebbe stato molto apprezzato un aiuto con i bagagli durante il trasferimento. La pulizia della camera è buona, e la stanza è spaziosa e luminosa. AAstrxdInternational girls, this place is amazing! I'm a foreigner and they had no trouble showing me around the hostel. Such a comfortable place, it felt more like a salon and a sleepover than a hostel, there were so many mirrors with lighting to sit and do your makeup and blow dry your hair. They even have sachets or period tea and warming pockets for your cramps. The staff are really friendly and sweet, I couldn't figure out how to use the app to wash my clothes so one of the girls at the front desk just paid for it for me. The boss sends fruit every day for all of the girls to share, everyone was sharing food from their day's adventures. Charging ports everywhere, a drama playing on the huge living room screen, a wall full of notes, easy shareable fridge. A lot of restaurants next door and cute coffee shops, almost any food you could imagine there'd be a restaurant selling it pretty close by. Lots of girls also just chilling with their delivery in the living room, which was also very convenient since they have a shelf outside for delivery orders, great vibe. I also appreciated that they ask you not to blow dry your hair or wash your clothes after midnight, much easier to sleep. I even met a friend here at the hostel, talked until 1 am in the comfy living room and we later met up to travel around Hangzhou the next week. A really nice place to stay!!

UUtente ospiteWe stayed in Dec 2025 for 4 nights. This hotel was our first experience with a smart room system. Using voice commands in Mandarin, we could control the lights, television, ventilation (hot or cold), and music through a device called “Xiao Du”. It could also play music, including Chinese classical music, which was very soothing and helped us relax before sleep.
Although the room was small, it was cosy, very clean, fresh, and modern. The toilet seat had a built-in heating function that activated automatically, which was particularly welcome during winter. The window faced an adjacent building rather than the main road, which helped keep noise levels low, as traffic on the street could otherwise be quite busy.
The television offered a good selection of films, including several free-to-view options from both Hollywood and China. Amenities such as fresh towels were replenished daily, and complimentary items including tea sachets, bottled mineral water, and a can of Coke were thoughtfully provided. A small fridge was also available to keep drinks cool.
The laundry facilities were excellent and easy to use. Located on the second floor, there was a large washing machine with automatic detergent dispensing, as well as a large dryer. Both were fast and efficient, which helped keep waiting times short even when several guests were using the machines at the same time.
The Cotti Coffee café downstairs was excellent and very convenient for starting the day with a good cup of coffee. There were seats outside where one could sit, enjoy a drink, and watch the world go by — a very pleasant way to begin the morning.
The reception staff were generally friendly and helpful. On our checkout day (12 noon on 1 January 2026), a lady at the reception was especially attentive. She advised us on the best way to reach the airport in light of heavy traffic, helped to watch out for our DiDi ride, flagged the driver from across the road when the car arrived, and accompanied us across the street to see us off safely. We were genuinely impressed by her thoughtfulness and professionalism.
The hotel’s location is another major advantage. From the nearest metro station, it took us about a ten-minute walk at a relaxed pace. The hotel was easy to find on our first day, even while dragging our luggage. After that, the metro made it very convenient to reach many of the city’s major tourist attractions.
We would be very happy to stay here again on our next visit to Nanjing.

Check-in Experience
We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee.
Accommodation
We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit:
Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property.
RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games.
**Ratings**
Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities.
Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout.
Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days.
**Things to Consider**
It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center.
If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include:
- ATV rides
- Fishing area
- Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter)
- Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry)
- Train ride (30 RMB)
The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car.
**Challenges We Faced**
My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available.
However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.
