The Katoch Grand by Vivaan

Rooms are good with Mountain View but beware they are Non AC rooms. Heaters are limited supply and carry extra charge. Food is bad. We had only Gobi in different forms everyday for dinner and that too not well made. Staff is not polite and service is bad.

Don't go by star ratings and all! Gem property in Manali! Needs some maintenance but is undoubtedly very well-built and the rooms are well-appointed! Clean and hygienic! Mind-boggling views due to its beautiful location! And, Warm Hospitality - very rarely seen nowadays at star-rated hotels in India, is prevalent here - a big 👏 for the hoteliers there!!

On our this trip to manali, we stayed at Katoch for the our second half of our family trip. We found Katoch during our research work of good resorts in Manali and it is indeed good. Location will keep you spell bound as on the front side of you mountain peaks covered with snow and on the the back, river beas is flowing (you can literally hear flowing water anytime of the day). Property is 6 km away from main manali town and is near to Nehru kund. Property is very peaceful and away from hustle bustle of the town. basic things like medicine, food, drinks, groceries you can find at a walking distance. Property is Neat and clean, staff is very courteous. its a 2 floor property so you really dont need a lift here (they have one but wasn't working when we checked in). breakfast and dinner buffet has very limited options. taste can be improved. rooms are comparatively small and dont have balconies. wifi is really unstable and doesnt work most of the time but fortunately Mobile data works well here. Electricity is an issue and we observed a lot of power cuts during our stay. they only provide 2 half lt water bottles complimentary, I think it should be atleast 2 lts. Overall, I liked this place just because of its location otherwise you have to shell out a lot for trvalling if you dont have your own vehicle since its far from manali town. If resort mgmt. can take a look at the suggestion and implement them, I am sure if will hugely improve guest experience.

My experience at this place was awesome and I will love to visit again and again. It was pleasant staying here. I meet with Akshay and he was a kind and professional personality and because of him I will always love to come back.

We had a family stay for 5 days in Katoch Grand in February 2022 and the overall experience was excellent in terms of comfort, amenities, food and view from the rooms. Special thanks to Pankaj, Yagya Thakur, Sumit and Vikas Rana for their cooperation and making the stay a memorable one.

I recently (July’22) stayed in Katoch hotel in Manali. I was Titian disappointed I wonder how they got the 3 Star hotel tag for : Worst customer service, attitude of staff towards customer, worst house keeping, poorly maintained property.
