Belle Epoque Residence

The Belle Epoque is one of the best apartments I’ve stayed in. Lovely modern furniture and spacious. Stayed a week 3 of us in the superior room and there was plenty of space. Everything was there on hand and there is even a washing machine and a tumble dryer to use. Very clean and the staff were really helpful Thank you

What a beautiful place, the apartment we stayed in was self catering we had three rooms one was a studio without balcony, studio apartment with balcony and family apartment with two floors but every apartment was spotless and so comfy and had everything you needed and if it hadn't reception was more than happy to help, there's a shop next door for snacks drink or anything else you need, there is no bar or restaurant in the hotel but your just a ten minute walk away from the square which not only is stunning, has beautiful architecture but so many bars shops and eateries, the locals are very friendly and more than willing to help if you need directions, it's a must place to go.

We had a 2 floor place, without window on main floor, only sky velux on the top room. Avoid if you are claustrophobic...The velux ,top of the bed is front of the out side air-system which is it very noisy. Staff useless (when somebody is there....). TV out of service 4 days, even after I asked to be fix. The sofa, considered to be used as a bed, is just a sofa. You can unfold it , but there is no sommier, only good for very light person, not for normal adult. Kitchen is okay if you don't cook. ( 1 cooking pot and 1 pan). Mini mini store around the corner, (some drinks and few snacks). Expensive for what it is. Double check before choosing this place. Not what you can call "luxury", just normal.

Firstly can I say if there was a half score this would be a 3.5 out of 5 but as this review did not deserve a 4 I had to review as a 3. I will start with the good points. Although the hotel reception is not always manned both times we needed help we got it so we cannot fault the customer service. The position of the hotel in relation to the city was great for us, a 10 minute walk in which suited us fine. We had 2 rooms (will explain more later) and both rooms were lovely, beds comfortable, showers powerful and both apartments nice and clean. Internet was also brilliant. Now for the bad points. There was a really annoying banging noise the whole time we were there, we could not fatham out what it was as didn't sound like it was coming from another room so no idea, it did stop around midnight but if you wanted to chill prior to this it could be quite annoying. If management of the hotel are not aware of this I would suggest you sit in a room for the evening so that you can see for yourself and try and sort it out, even if we hadn't had any other problems this would be enough for us to not stay again. (I would like to point out this happened in both rooms so nothing to do with neighbours) The floors were very noisy, we had a real problem with the people above us, it sounded like a herd of elephants were running round up there and this continued until after 2am in the morning. Even when they were just walking around normally we could hear every footstep so if you have inconsiderate neighbours which we did this could be a massive problem. Thankfully reception took our complaint seriously and moved us to another room and although we could hear the upstairs neighbours it was not anywhere near as bad. The only trouble with the new room was a weird alarm starting going off on the TV at 4am which was then another disturbed nights sleep. The TV in both rooms did not have English channels and although we were not in the room much it would be nice to have a netflix or english channel option in case you want to chill in your room on an evening when you got back. In our first room the safe didn't work, as we carried our passports with us and didn't have much in the way of other valuable stuff this was not an issue for us, it worked in the 2nd room. This could be an amazing hotel if the noise issues were sorted but for me to have noise constantly when away is not something I would want to endure again. Once again a big well done to reception who helped us both times we needed them.

Booked with Jet2 to stay in The New Port Hotel for my partners 60th birthday (stunning floating hotel on The River Vistula), beautiful Duplex Room with stunning views and everything you would need. Unfortunately due to flood warnings we were evacuated and Jet2 informed us we were booked into the Belle Epoche. After looking at reviews (very good), and photos of the bedrooms we agreed to move there. When we arrived we were given our room key, what a disappointment! The room was nothing like the ones advertised. 2 single beds, no AC (just a horrible black, loud fan). It was dark and dingy. Contacted Jet2 to be told there were no other rooms available. TV was all in Polish and at 4.50am we were awoken by an extremely loud alarm which was coming from the TV! When we eventually found someone (Reception was unmanned most of the time we were there), the young lady advised us she had fixed it. Following morning same thing so 2 nights of disturbed sleep. This led us to believe it was used as a stop off for airline staff. If you do decide to book this Hotel please ensure you check your room before arrival to avoid disappointment. We would certainly never return and thinking twice about booking with Jet2 again as we received a paltry £250 compensation for a ruined holiday. If the room had been up to the standard we booked and paid for we would not be complaining.

Just returned from 4 nights staying at Belle Epoque Residence and was very pleasantly surprised at how beautiful our apartment 13 was. The decor was beautiful and the furnishings were superb. If we had wanted to cook for ourselves there was a job and oven but no microwave or toaster. There was also a dishwasher which we didn’t use. On arrival a hot drink would have been nice and although there were tea bags there was no milk so we had to wait until the morning when the supermarket opened. Lovely comfortable bed and squidgy soft pillows so great nights sleep. A lift was a blessing as my husband has difficulty with stairs. The bathroom was good, lashing of hot water but it was a bit of a struggle getting into the high bath. There was a sauna and a small gym but we didn’t use these as were too busy exploring. The location was quiet and not far to walk to the main square. We did have one issue and that was the young blonde girl on reception who was completely lacking In customer care skills and did her best to hide behind the reception desk to avoid eye contact or having to speak. We had an issue with the tv and said she would look at it, having been reminded about it she did reluctantly come to the apartment but couldn’t sort it, no apology etc. definitely a training need there! On our third day there was a different girl on reception who was bright and bubbly and a pleasure to speak to. All in all a wonderful trip to Krakow and I would recommend the Belle Epoque Residences
