The staff at the accommodation were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The English-speaking staff guided us around the facilities and thoroughly explained the rules. Despite the curfew at 9 PM, we were allowed to return later using an alternate door. Dinner was superb and delicious, with a variety of vegan dishes offered. It's a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.

For the price, this was a really average stay. The staff were average, as well as the food. The staff were friendly but they didn’t feel genuine. The Temple itself is very beautiful. The rooms are large, however the floor mattresses are completely worn out so you can actually feel the hard floor beneath you. I’ve stayed in a Ryokan before and their mattresses were still soft and comfortable so this Temples mattresses are definitely in need of an upgrade. Would I come here again? Probably not.

Everything was exceptional and memorable: our room, the facilities, the bath, the gardens, the staff, the food.

宿坊のイメージを覆されました。精進料理は見た目も美しく、美味しくいただき、お腹いっぱいになりました。部屋は暖かく、清潔感があり快適に過ごすことができました。朝のおつとめも貴重な経験になりました。お庭など含めて雰囲気が上品で素敵なお宿です。

打開房門，非常震撼，太美了，做了兩晚宿坊的庭院主，預訂的時候覺得好貴啊，兩個晚上大半個蘋果手機沒了，但是打開房門被驚到了😄宿坊離金剛峯是非常近，地理位置是在整個高野山的中心地帶，離公交站很近，非常方便，非常推薦，大大地點贊👍

心靈凈化之旅，位置極好，馬路對面就是檀上伽藍，古建築羣，在上千的樹林中，非常壯觀。 總持寺的房間特別大，一室一廳，獨立衞生間，但浴室是帶温泉的公共浴室，這是他們的風格，也是很特別的體驗。 齋飯像懷石料理一樣，按順序上好多道，吃一個多小時。 服務人員特別熱心特別好！

Chambre normale à la japonaise avec 4 futons ,belle douche commune avec un petit onsen .Le repas du soir était excellent.La cérémonie du matin une expérience à vivre quoique un peu longue…Pour le petit déjeuner nous avons apprécié la moitié des mets,mais c’est une question de goût…

獨特的體驗

Facciamo presente che un ospite è celiaco, essendoci la cena compresa: questo all'atto della prenotazione. Ci rispondono il giorno stesso, a cancellazione gratuita ormai bella che andata, che loro non servono cena senza glutine e nel caso di procedere alla cancellazione. Il posto è anche carino ma non vale assolutamente gli oltre 350 euro per una camera assolutamente basic con 2 fouton, niente telo o accappatoio per la doccia, balcone spoglio e poco pulito. La perla a cena: in pochissimi parlano inglese, solo 1 persona pare in modo fluente. Chiediamo se fosse possibile quanto meno avere un bis delle portate senza glutine e a tutta risposta arriva un secco no (alla faccia della gentilezza dei monaci). Per far capire meglio quanto siano attenti agli ospiti e poco legati al vile denaro allego foto dove si vedono i parziali prezzi del bere, che ovviamente non è incluso nel prezzo. La cena per il resto anche discreta, per me che ho potuto mangiarla interamente. Durante la notte forte e continuo rumore meccanico, alla faccia della pace del monastero. Unico servizio aggiuntivo la preghiera del mattino alle 06. Insomma, i monaci davvero hanno capito tutto dalla vita: cena e colazione di verdure, una camera con 2 fouton oltre 350 euro. Lasciate perdere, cercate altrove la vostra esperienza buddista.

The building itself was stunning and the food excellent, the staff spoke English well but the room was dreadful, no shower facilities, a dirty concrete balcony facing out on a noisy service yard and without chairs. We very much got the impression that western guests weren’t really welcome so skipped the meditation and got out as soon as possible

My wife and I stayed 2 nights here and had a wonderful experience. The food was incredible and all the people were very nice. The room was very comfortable and it was nice to have a bathroom attached. This is a good place to stay for exploring the area.
