Hotel in zona Gaur Seventh Day Adventist Church, Kota Belud

On our way to Cabana Retreat, we saw a couple of cows at the roadside. Since I wanted to take some photos, my friend made a U-turn so that I could capture a few. One cow was a shade of white & it looked quite tame & docile. The road leading to our retreat was very quiet. We hardly saw any cars & passed a jetty signboard. We arrived at 3:00 pm & managed to park our rented car near the Resort’s entrance. I went straight to the Front desk to check-in & to get our keys to our quad-tent. Thankfully, our quad-tent was located near to the common bathroom. We had chosen a quad-tent because the 4 of us wanted to have a glamping experience together. Unfortunately, one friend had to leave. Thus, there was 1 empty mattress on a wooden pallet which we had used to put all our food. Although the quad-tent was compact, it came equipped with an air-cooler, a standing fan, a small wooden table & chair, a wicker basket that was used as a wastepaper basket, a long mirror & a small area to hang our clothes. There was also a steel shoe rack. Throw pillows were given on each bed. The sheets & blankets were of hotel quality while the mattress was comfortable enough though I could still feel the wooden pallets underneath it all. The material covering our tents was of high quality too & we had double tent zippers for safety & protection. Our 2-day package came with free activities on the beach. Unfortunately, the staff was not available to teach us to handle the paddleboat. Hence, we had to forgo the non-motorised activities. My 2 friends decided to rest in the tent but I decided to walk on the beach. Strangely enough, I saw many cows on the beach! They were going for the waves. As it was starting to drizzle, I left the beach & headed back to the tent. Our package also included a Firefly experience on our 1st night. However, we had to drive to the jetty ourselves. When we arrived, we mentioned the name of our Hotel & were given admittance into the boat. The host, a middle-aged man told us to be quiet while he summoned the fireflies to our direction. It was such an awesome magical experience when the fireflies started appearing before your very eyes. Even if it’s not in the package, please make sure that you go for this activity. The next morning, we had breakfast at the Coffee House as it was included in the package. We were given a selection to choose from, either American or local meals. They were freshly made & tasty. The scenery was of the beach. There were also a few swings for guests to enjoy on underneath a roof. Outdoor tables, chairs & benches were provided on the beach where guests could enjoy their breakfast with the sand underneath their feet. There were many cats & dogs around the vicinity. Most probably they were strays. We saw a rooster trying to chase away a mangy dog. Throughout our stay, we would buy some food & feed the cats, dogs & rooster. In short, all meals – breakfast, lunch & dinner were at the Coffee House. We didn’t feel a need to

Siamo andati a Mount Kinabalu per 2 notti di soggiorno al 1) Peak Lodge 1 & 2 , 2) Summit Lodge & 3) Garden Lodge. Qualche miglioramento è necessario nel pulizia della casa. Doccia in inondazione in Summit Lodge, mentre la trappola era piena di sporco e capelli. Doccia pareti di stanza sono sporche. Una vista magnifica del Monte Kinabalu dalle nostre Lodge. La colazione è al Ristorante Liwagu , serve il buffet asiatico. La cena è Ala-Carte , cibo e servizio sono buoni. Per le attività , intorno al parco , visitare il Giardino Botanico e Poring Hot Spring e fare un ulteriore giro verso la fattoria dei latticini di Desa a Kundasang. In tutto questo era un soggiorno rilassante !!

La stanza era buona, la posizione è buona. Il personale è molto utile. La stanza non ha aria condizionata o ventilatore, è abbastanza calda al mattino tardi. È troppo vicino alla strada principale, si può sentire i veicoli passare. Non si può vedere la montagna dal balcone della stanza ma si deve andare all'area di parcheggio per vedere la splendida montagna. Le scelte per la colazione erano limitate, nessun buffet, ci piace il char kue tiaw yumss! Non dimenticare di cadere al Chill@1850 caffe, l'ingresso stradale è proprio vicino all'hotel.

I visited with my Family on the 8th of August. Took a twin room which has 2 queen sized beds. I arrived at the location at noon, feeling very stressed out because was having a bit of an argument with the family. My mother was having one of her fits when we arrived, saying she didn't like the place, I on the other hand, was wondering why I spent so much money on this place. I called the caretaker and he was quick to respond, good guy, we got to our room, still stressed out, and felt instantly that the room was sp****. I was immediately questioning my reasoning for booking this place. Fast forward an hour or so later, when everyone calmed down (mother included), we were immediately in a better mood. The landscaping of the place is really beautiful, and the view of mount kinabalu was very majestic. We left both the front and back door open and the winds were blowing through the room, keeping it cool, my mom and my sisters were all starting to enjoy the place, myself included. I started looking into the details of the rooms, the quality of the materials used to construct the villa was of the highest quality, toilet was made with marble, and everything else was simple but robust, and could tell that material choice was quite important. The landscaping was also quite nice. Beautiful garden. And it's just so private. To sum it all up here are the pros and cons of this place. Pros: 1. High quality material used to construct the rooms 2. Beautiful landscaping - very calming and great. 3. Very private 4. Friendly and quick team to reply 5. Nice toilet (best in Kundasang) Cons 1. Price a bit on the high side (but it's private and most probably the nicest hotel in kundasang, cant compare to established hotels in the city( 2. Lacks some finer details : instead of 3 in 1 coffee, put a Nespresso machine in every room with 4 to 6 capsules, that really makes a difference in terms of perceived quality. 3. Pillows could be better - sheets are alright and bed is alright - but I stayed in four seasons kl for 40 percent cheaper, so... A bit hard on that end 4. I appreciate the disposable tooth brush, soaps etc. But I think the soap would be better if it was in a bottle stuck to the shower wall where it can be refillable, perhaps they could use a branded soap and shampoo for that, and not put it in small bottles, but in refillable permanent bottles in the room. 5. Restaurant - it's not under them, they share it with the hotel about a 5 minutes drive away. It's not bad, but it's far from good. No alcohol in sight there, so better BYOD. Although pricing wise it's on the high side, and there are some things that they can improve on, I'd still go back there, as it's the only great and private stay in kundasang. Everywhere else is not up to spring gardens quality, for now....

L'ambiente non è bello come mi aspettavo. Ho sentito che le camere a Saliya Shangri-La non sono molto vecchie e l'ambiente è molto bello, quindi ho scelto questo posto. Ma la stanza vera e propria è molto vecchia e non c'è la doccia, solo una vasca da bagno con una tenda da doccia! Sentirsi male. Inoltre, non so se la camera in cui abbiamo alloggiato fosse una parte separata della suite e l'isolamento acustico era pessimo. Ci sono molte attività e piccole attrazioni nell'hotel scritte nel pacchetto. La cosiddetta cascata è davvero molto piccola. Sono sorpreso che possa essere chiamata cascata. Lo scenario non è poi così bello. Ovviamente non abbiamo partecipato al percorso escursionistico, quindi non sappiamo come. Anche la spiaggia privata non ci è sembrata così bella. Forse non abbiamo remato e non sapevamo che ci fossero delle belle isole nelle vicinanze. Il tramonto era ok, ma era più breve e non bello come quelli visti allo Sky Mirror e al Tanjong Shangri-La. Nel ristorante dell'hotel non c'è niente di delizioso, non c'è molta scelta e il sapore non è buono. Il prezzo non è davvero economico. Alla fine, la gestione del personale di questo hotel è stata davvero pessima. Ho incontrato un impiegato della portineria con scarsa integrità. Ha promesso di prendere i soldi che abbiamo restituito e di aiutarci a richiedere un rimborso, ma non lo ha fatto. Anche la comunicazione via e-mail con l'hotel non è stata fluida. Alla fine, ho presentato un reclamo alla sede centrale e ho chiesto il monitoraggio e la questione è stata risolta. Altamente sconsigliato.

Receptionist is very friendly and housekeeping are very helpful too. Clean and spacious room. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Excellent wifi connection.

L'Isola delle Sirene è davvero bella e vale la pena andarci, ma è lontana da KK, a 2 ore di macchina dal molo e a 45 minuti di barca. Mi viene il mal di mare quando il vento e le onde sono forti. Prendi non puoi effettuare un ordine perché è lontana, quindi posso solo noleggiare un'auto. Il viaggio di andata e ritorno costa circa 400-500 RM. L'acqua di balneazione sull'isola è filtrata e ha un odore di pesce. Il ristorante ha una piccola selezione di piatti, ma sono delizioso e il prezzo è ragionevole, dopotutto l'acqua fresca e gli ingredienti vengono spediti via mare, è sufficiente una notte di soggiorno.

Il villaggio di vacanza è su un'isola di pesca distaccata, due ore di bus + 1 ora di fretta, fretta molto affamata, la barca è pronta per la medicina. L'hotel è ancora buono. Alle nove e mezzo sul porto di Houston, c'è personale sulla sinistra del corridoio, c'è una bevanda al porto a dodici e un treno all'isola a mezza. La stanza è tutta una casa di legno. L'apertura della porta è la spiaggia. La stanza è pulita, l'acqua calda non è troppo calda, l'acqua e il aria condizionata sono molto forti, e forniscono quattro chicchi d'acqua. La sera organizzera'collettivamente il submersibile, e poi puoi pagare il bagno profondo. La mattina puoi pagare anche il pirata. Il pirata e la barca sono gratis. La festa di notte organizza un passo attraverso l'isola per vedere il tramonto e la spiaggia diretta. Il cibo è auto-aiuto cinese, una grande quantità di tubi, carne e frutta di mare, bevande di frutta e frutta di merda sono buone.Il bar non ha cocktail, ci sono palle da tavolo. L'isola è ancora adatta per gli aerei senza equipaggio, e la foto sul mare è anche fatta. Non siamo usciti oltre a vedere il tramonto, e l'hotel non incoraggia l'uscita da solo. Ci sono altri hotel e residenti sull'isola. L'ultimo giorno, a dieci, la barca torna dalla strada principale dell'isola, e si prevede di tornare al porto di Houston più di due pomeriggio. In generale, è molto rilassante e non può essere speso un pacchetto completo con soldi.Si consiglia di avere molti progetti di esplorazione insulare.
