Atlantica Mikri Poli Park With TUI Hotel not a 5 star, I would give it 3.5 at best. Cleanliness 3/5, room on the surface was clean but looking closer dusty and dirty around the edges, the outside of the windows dirty, in a country with no recent rain I would guess been like that for some time. The steps going up to our room wasn’t swept the whole week we were there, just as dirty as day one! The pool area wasn’t washed down every day, it was windy and drinks spilled easily and we would see the same pieces of lemon or sticky drinks for the next day or two! My guess is there is not enough cleaning staff! Pool bar staff really nice and always cheerful. We are allocated beach towels that you swap out every 2 days, you are given a card on check in that gets stamped. Buffet : as a pescatarian I struggled with variety, most days I had salad or tomato pasta (the tomato sauce pot was beside the bolognaise pot and often the wrong spoons were used) This was fine for lunch but often had the same for dinner, there was grilled fish every day but riddled with bones so I avoided. We were told you can eat one time in the Chinese and the Italian, we arrived Sunday but couldn’t get a table in either until Saturday! Both of these restaurants were always near empty, they could most definitely seat more people, but that’s not cost effective I guess! So we chose the Italian for our last night, a good time to dress up and wear heels as this wasn’t sensible walking into town at night. on arrival the menu was explained, the starters are pre-set so no need to choose, just needed to choose the main meal, however there was an electrical problem apparently, despite the rest of the hotel seemingly functioning normally so we could only have pizza! Definitely not our first choice! So it was minestrone soup, followed by Bruschetta (just a slice of garlic bread with a slice of tomato on top, no basil, balsamic) stuffed mushroom which was ok but not presented very well, it would have looked better if the cheese was grated instead of a slice plopped on top. Arancini ball with onion chutney (was just ok) and a caprice salad, this was a mozzarella ball on sliced tomatoes and a big drizzle of balsamic! We didn’t try it as it was just cheese overload but it looked nice. Pizza was very nice although the base was slightly too thick. We ate half and left.. complete disappointment!! And not an Italian drink In sight either!! The drinks…. So we knew it said local drinks only and the beer was good! That’s where it ends really, the first cocktail we tried, Mojito…. Was all pre-made syrupy and tasted like toothpaste, no fresh mint or even a straw! The second one we tried was tequila sunrise, this again was pre-made and just like drinking a glass of sugar! I’m a white wine drinker and the wine was awful…. So this was another disappointment! We ate out in the town several times so that i could get a decent meal. Right opposite the harbour was a Greek m
