Aegean Blu Hotel & Apartments

Very nice hotel. reception large and nicely decorated. Quick check-in then a lady showed us to a room on 2nd floor, showed us around and how to use the safe and air con. Apartment was large and clean. Comfy beds, kitchenette with kettle and toaster. Bathroom good size. Balcony was big with access from the bedroom and the lounge. We had a mountain view, overlooking some trees, glimpses of a few derelict buildings, but we could see the sea and part of kos harbour so we were pleased. We didn’t use the hotel pool as we like the beach, but there were always spare sunbeds there. Location was good. Nearby were 2 supermarkets and a few restaurants. In the other direction was the beach, about a 2 min walk. The beach was shingle but nice, we had water shoes which are needed. There are sun beds for hire along the front, we went to Pegasus, the nearest ones to the hotel, 10 euros for 2 beds and parasol, you get also 2 free bottles of water. The sunbeds were spaced quite far apart as well so you weren’t too close to others. Loads of places to eat and drink along the front. Lambi was lovely, pretty areas to see, the walk to kos harbour nice enough, but there are bikes everywhere along the sea front! Some parts of the walkways are also cycle paths so you have to keep dodging them. Didn’t see any bus routes or taxis, which would have been nice alternative to bike dodging. I will go back for longer and make sure we explore more of Kos as it is beautiful. We would stay at theThe Aegean Blu again.

We loved this little hotel - simple hotel apartment complex where we had a big apartment style, simple and no-frills room that was in a clean hotel and with a 24 hour reception. The rooms aren't beautiful but they are easy, lots of space, with a mini kitchen and fridge and big balcony and great air-con and Wifi. Beds are comfy and it's very clean. Pillows are rather fat, but the beds are comfy. We actually had two single beds pushed next to each other to make a double/queen, which was not fantastic, but it was fine for the four nights we stayed there. It's a 3 minute walk down to Lambi beach and all the local beach clubs, which are 10 euros per day per bed. And it's an easy, flat 20 minute walk into the old town and you pass lots of shops and restaurants on your way if you want to stop off earlier. A really good location and easy, simple, local hotel with helpful staff who care and want to help. The pool is great, but it was a little crowded for us and the amazing Kos beaches are just down the road. Breakfast is very basic, and to be honest, not much there of any substance, but there's a supermarket up the road, 3 minutes walk and we got lots of goodies to eat on our balcony! TIP: Taxis are impossible to flag down, So.... if you need a taxi to the ferry etc book at least 24 hours ahead, which we did and which it arrived - phew! The staff helped us with booking that.

Aegean Blu is situated in a excellent location, close to the beach, supermarket and fantastic restaurant - Taverna Efkalipty . Although not really a Hotel .Apartments. Rooms are spacious, but very dated, and certainly need a update , The room we had, toilet seat was damaged and crack in basin, along with a strange glugging from sinks, reported twice and receptionist noted it, but nothing happened, probably been reported a few times before.. Breakfast is ok. Aegean Blu is fine if you're looking for basic and nothing special, wouldn't return.

Superb hotel just a short walk (150m) from Lambi Beach and only 10 minutes walk from Kos Town. The rooms are spacious and the Aircon is ice cold. The staff are what set this place apart. Special shout outs to Mihail, Maria and Valandis who all make the difference to a family holiday.

A bit of a mixed bag this review, the hotels description has some poetic license to it, I’m still currently here, 7 nights into a 11 night stay, The area the hotel is situated in is very run down with lots of building work that starts at 7am, but that’s ok as the loud rave music stops at 4am, but not to worry you can have a snooze by the pool which is situated right next to a very busy, noisy and fast road……but you are very close to the beech and a couple of really nice restaurants. The pool area is nice though, very clean with plenty of sunbeds, a nice little snack bar and around a thousand inflatables in the pool, The rooms are large with a nice bathroom and great shower, the beds are super comfortable better then I have at home, and the kitchen is, well it’s there, not really what I’d call fitted for self catering but we always ate out so no major issue for us, the cleaners do come in everyday, and well at least the come in… Now the WiFi is the best I’ve ever had in any hotel in any country and it’s free so that’s a huge bonus, Major Note, The Air con in the rooms is outstanding absolutely brilliant, BUT you have to empty the 20 litre bucket of water from the unit yourself every single day which is on the balcony into the shower and it’s bloody heavy, they don’t tell you that in the description. I don’t like leaving negative reviews and I love Greece and its islands, this time I think it’s more down to the fabrication of the description in what you read when booking that’s the issue, as a hotel on its own standing it’s most definitely a 2 possibly 3 star hotel the location will probably be totally different in a few years time but currently it’s one big derelict building site and rave club. We booked with Jet2 and will be speaking with them on our return, not necessarily to complain but to advice, oh and book any trips before you fly out as everything is fully booked when you get here. This is my first time to Kos and will most probably be the last, but it’s another island ticked off and back off to Crete next year for some piece and quiet

Had a great two week holiday here in August 2024. Our apartment was lovely and spacious with good facilities, including free air con (the best we’ve had on any Greek holiday) and safety deposit box - and two balconies! All the staff were very friendly and helpful, with good advice on local attractions. Our cleaner was lovely with regular clean towels and bedding as needed. Excellent location with a short walk to the beach and shops, and just a 15-20 minute walk into Kos town. The pool is perhaps a little small for the number of apartments, so got very busy at times - but with the beach so close it wasn’t a problem for us. We’d definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel. 3 stars to the hotel but 4,5 stars to the staff. 100% service from Maria, Michaelis and Valentins.. Simply the best and nicest people.. Good fun and just really NICE people. Together with the cleaninglady (don't remember her name, maybe Zelena) - they are all the real stars off the hotel. Yes there are Som small issues on the hotel and it needs some upgrade for some small things, like TV don't have channels - -not impotent to me and some rooms are maybe a bit in need off small upgrades, BUT like I say, Valanyis, Michaelis and Maria are just the best we ever met. Location off the hotel is perfect to walk from to Kos city, and for visiting the sights off Kos it's position is also perfect. Yes young people sometimes make noise but they are just having fun and holiday, so just talk to them. There is a supermarket at 2 min. walking from the hotel. Also some restaurants are close. The beach is 300 mt away. For us it is a recommendation we go to every year now for the 5'th time in 5 years - a recommendation we recommend to go to.

Nice hotel. Good service and friendly staff. Wi-Fi in the hotel is working in the rooms or studio. On the pool are not inoff sunbeds. İn my studio there was no curten for the shower. There are no roles about noise in the hotel. Some guests are not having respect for other guests at that point. There is a supermarket at 2 min. walking from the hotel. Also some restaurants. The beach is close by. But without the small things for me a recommendation to go to.

This is a lovely hotel with lovely Staff. We met the General Manager Eleni on our first morning and she was excellent. We were a bit tired as we arrived at night but she assured us that this would be a great holiday and I can also assure you that it was! We always got a sunbed which really helps on a short break. The Bar Staff were really helpful and Denisa was a star. We watched her deal with some obnoxious guests in a caring way and she still gave us great service at the same time! The beach and many restaurants are only a short walk away as is the local supermarket. Our apartment was large with two lots of air conditioning, so a great help in the hot weather. Then town is within walking distance if you are able bodied but do not get a taxi as it will take you over an hour to get one back!
