Viceroy Boutique Hotel

The charged me INR 1120extra over the room rent. the reason shown is early check in. the sevice quality is too bad. will not recommend anyone ever.

Very nice and clean 3 star hotel. Location is great and near to major restaurants and shopping centers. Staff are very friendly and eager to oblige. Rooms are good size but no desk furniture for working business travelers. Internet connection is sometimes unstable. Restaurant is good but little bit on the expensive side.

The Viceroy Hotel is centrally located in busy Chinar Park only 20 minutes away from the airport. The area is going through renovations and construction of a train overpass across the street. Due to this and traffic it was always noisy. The hotel is well-run. My room was spacious, clean, with a comfortable bed, stocked with tea and coffee bags and bottles of water, The bathroom had fresh towels and toiletries. The air conditioner and ceiling fan kept the room comfortable, and helped mitigate the outside noise. Breakfast served at the restaurant featured food and fruits for all tastes. A fan of Indian food, I enjoyed the various regional dishes, breads, and chai tea. The restaurant staff was attentive and ready to help. All the staff: front desk, porters, room attendants, etc.; was professional, courteous, and nimble. I really enjoyed my stay.

They are bunch of thives & looting the customers in the name of Destroying bedsheet linen etc , which are washable , they have charged me extra , rather ectort me with Rs.2100/- for a small washable marker ink as it was pasted in a small on bed sheet during my work. While I asked for the alleged damaged items they denied to show me & give me , instead taking price. This type of greedy hotel ***agement nothing but destroying your reputation too. Food was extremely Bad, smelly & left over , I guess and too too much costly , while there are atleast 100 restro & hotel sideby which are offering different cuisines in very reasonable prices with quality. Rooms & Service both are extremely small & poor , as well they are taking too much overprices. This Hotel ***agement entirely is doing unfair trade practices everywhere like ***darmoni , Darjeeling too and trained their staffs accordingly to extort the guests. Total wastage of money ,mood & quality time. Pathetic....in one word.

After receiving a booking confirmation I arrived at the hotel only to be informed that they cancelled my reservation without asking or informing me. The ***ager Pathik Saha was incredibly rude and unhelpful, and told me it's not his fault and there is nothing he would do. Thanks to the incompetent staff at this hotel I now have nowhere to sleep in Kolkata tonight
