Chaantalay Hotel

Really enjoyed our stay at Chaantalay. We had a triple room for our family stay over New Years. Great room with views and balcony. Location is ideal, quieter but easy safe walk into town. Great pool area, friendly helpful staff, hotel can provide easy taxi pick up from around the island which was great. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back.

Amazing, modern, clean place to stay on Koh Tao! We stayed here for just over a week (extended during our stay as we loved it so much), all the staff are so lovely and helpful, pool is immaculate and a lot of choice of sun beds. Also have a pool table and gym you can use free of charge which is a massive bonus! Breakfast is great, and there’s also a café in reception with a wide range of food & drink which is open all day. We also rented a motorbike from reception which was so handy! Would definitely recommend when in Koh Tao!

So glad I found this place amongst all the overpriced and not so great quality accommodations in Koh Tao. The staffs are friendly and super kind. Walk in rate can be cheaper than booking on OTA but this place is getting more popular hence I would recommend you to book in advance during high seasons. Bike rentals are available right at the hotel for 200 THB per day (same price with most of other rentals in KT, and their bikes are well kept). Their coffee shop has everything with good prices (coffee, coconut juice, smoothies). Food menu look promising and good price, also apply for in-room dining. The place is cover in greenery happy plants. Facilities such as pool is amazing, brand new looking. Public toilet always so clean. Small gym, reading room and a pool table. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here so much. Big room, big toilet with full amenities, comfy bed/pillows, very clean (daily housekeeping do a great job). If you are a diver, this place is so ideal for your stay. Big balcony came with big dry rack to hang all your diving stuffs. My standard room came with a big fridge, dish rack, separate kitchen sink and refill new water bottles on the daily. Location is 10mins walk to Sairee Beach. It's a nice walk down also with many shops (laundry 40thb/kg, supermarket, convenient store, food vendors, bar, hair salon, nails shop, rental diving gears, dive shops, etc. Pick up and drop off at the pier upon check in/out are complimentary. There's a 995 Duck Shop near by and highly recommend. The hotel does not come with an ocean/beach view but you get the most for everything else at a 3-4 stars property value. Plus, it is safe and fully equipped with CCTV. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Chantalay for 6 nights. It’s a lovely family run hotel 5 mins walk from the hustle and bustle of Sairee Beach with its shops and restaurants. Friendly welcome, laidback. Nice spacious, clean room AC and nice balcony. Pools was never too busy and was clean and nice to swim in. Highly recommend if you’re looking to stay mid range.

The rudest staff! Extremely horrible atmosphere, unfexible staff, horrendous check in. Just the worst dont go! Pictures are great and hotel ok. Whole experience put us in tears . Food was ok, not too close to the beach which is fine, but I honestly wish I'd stayed anywhere else.

Really great value for your money. There was 3 of us sharing a room and there was plenty of space. Everything was really clean, fresh water everyday. The pool is also a massive bonus as well as the restaurant!
