Casa de Mar

+ Lovely location, not far from the main part of the city by motorbike. The beach outside the hotel is very shallow and clean! great for a morning swim. Other hotels can be found along the beach in the same area..just saying. BUT, here is the huge let down with this hotel. - Blood stains were found on the bed sheets on the first night, so had to request a change of sheets immediately. A couple of days later, my ENTIRE back and shoulders was covered with BED BUG bites. I had to see a dermatologist immediatelt because I was afraid, and they confirmed it was due to bed bugs at the hotel. After 5 days, the spots on my back and arms are still not recovered, truly disgusting experience. My arms arent as bad as my back! Also, just before checking out of hotel on my way to the airport at 7am, the hotel accused me of not paying 4000THB for a trip I apparently didnt pay, which was a complete lie and now I wonder how many people have fallen for this scam. I paid all trips with credit card on the first hour of checking in at the hotel, all proof of payments are on my bank statement. The security guard would not let my taxi leave the hotel and called the police. I ended up leaving, because I had proof of payment on my bank statement. The hotel were proven wrong, but did not apologise to me for all the accusations. Would I book at casa de mar again? If it wasnt for the last few days, I would...but after this experience...**** that😄 book another hotel along the beach, cheaper prices, same experience.

Wir hatten drei Tage im Casa de Mar und ein ganz normales Zimmer gebucht. Leider habe ich mehr erwartet als tatsächlich bekommen. Erstmal zu den guten Dingen: - der Standort ist sehr gut - es gibt einen günstigen Rollenverleih in der Nähe (James Rental) - die Aussenanlage (Pool, Restaurant) sieht ganz schick aus und liegt direkt am Strand - es gibt zwei stand up Paddel die man sich umsonst ausleihen kann - das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit Jetzt leider zu den eher schlechten Dingen, die sehr auffällig waren. - Die Hygiene der Zimmer aber auch generell im ganzen Hotel ist eher semi gut. Bei unserer Ankunft fand ich direkt Haare in der Dusche, obwohl ich davon ausgehe, dass die Zimmer vor Ankunft ordentlich gereinigt werden. - generell gab es viele Stellen die eher schmutzig waren. Im Badezimmer viele Kalk Wasser Flecken - die Balkontüren lassen sich nicht richtig schließen und demnach auch nicht abschließen. - der Fitnessraum roch immer unangenehm und die Geräte waren teilweise am rosten - generell machte das Hotel (ich kann nichts zu den Bungalows sagen) den Eindruck, das sehr viele klein Reparaturen/Verschönerungen von Nöten sind. Ich bin wirklich kein anspruchsvoller Gast, allerdings werden die guten Bewertungen der Realität nicht gerecht und wir hatten vorher schon zwei Hotels auf unserer Thailand Reise bewohnt, die sogar teilweise günstiger waren und vom Standort, Hygiene etc. mit großen Abstand besser waren. Dadurch das wir den Vergleich haben und auch sehen, dass es viel besser geht, war das eher ein Aufenthalt der ok war.

Beach front location and pool side restaurant for a relax stay , very professional massage service at only 300 baht for an hour, however the water at beach below knees can not swim, though the view is spectacular

Lovely hotel in a stunning setting. Staff are friendly. Great to have kayaks and paddle boards to use free of charge. Breakfast was fantastic - lots of options and the freshly made omelettes were 10/10. All food we had from the hotel restaurant was delicious - the best pineapple fried rice I have had.

The beach in front of the hotel is the best we had in Koh Samui, when the water is low you can walk all the way to the next island; the food is good and affordable too; it is next to TreeTop which is the best restaurant in the place; but otherwise the place is very noisy if you happen to get a unit next to their trash storage place; I am fine but many others were going crazy with the noice staff made at 2am when they are taking the trash out, they just cannot keep quite and have to shout at each other all the time

Mooi hotel direct aan het strand. Helaas is het niet mogelijk om direct naar Chaweng beach te lopen. Het ontbijt het wat mij betreft iets uitgebreider gemogen gezien de prijs (voor de thaise standaarden)

No proper sand beach, but the sea is maybe the most beautiful of the island, worth it!

I had such an amazing experience at this hotel, the staff is friendly and super helpful. They made my birthday special. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in Koh Samui. The rooms are nice and spacious, the breakfast offers local and western options. I also did their master class and that was really nice. They are on the beach and the pool is amazing too.
