The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in Japan.
I travel to Japan every year, and I’ve always admired Japanese hospitality — until I stayed at this hotel. This was by far the worst service I’ve ever encountered.
1. I was filling my personal plastic bottle with water from the dispenser in the restaurant when a male staff member wearing glasses came over and told me to “Stop!” rudely. I didn’t stop because I didn’t think I was doing anything wrong. Then on the third time, he yelled at me in front of everyone. I was humiliated and shocked. Yes, a little water spilled, but does that justify yelling at a guest like that? Who do you think you are, treating me that way?
2. A thin female staff member in the restaurant behaved like a ***** person. When the restaurant was about to close, she rushed and pushed us out. My 4-year-old son was just about to finish his meal, and she couldn’t even wait for a minute. Completely unacceptable.
3. The breakfast was terrible. I stayed for 5 days and ate the same boring food every single morning. No variety, no quality. Sometimes there was pudding, sometimes there wasn’t — such inconsistency clearly shows a lack of standards.
4. When we checked out, the staff didn’t even say thank you or goodbye. They stood there silently like soulless robots. No warmth, no hospitality.
But what I hated most was that rude male staff with glasses — yelling at me like that was unforgivable. He has absolutely no manners and should not be working in customer service.
