Actons Hotel Kinsale

We enjoyed our stay here very much, we had a well appointed room with comfortable furniture and a picturesque view overlooking the harbor. This is a great location and an easy walk to everything Kinsale has to offer! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again

This is a beautiful, charming, and comfortable hotel. The setting is lovely. We stayed here as a part of our 14-day tour of Ireland. Our tour company booked us our rooms here and wish we had more than one night here. The front desk staff, including Honey, were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The breakfast buffet and service were very good. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully appointed. We did have air conditioning in our room, but you can also open the windows. I also used the pool. It is in a building next door that is part of a health club. It is a nice facility and can get busy. Swim caps are required, but I also saw some without them. I need to make a note in the hopes this helps other future guests. We were traveling with our 80-year-old mother. We requested rooms with a walk-in shower. The hotel provided us with rooms as requested. There is only one concern I have about this property for anyone with mobility issues. The rooms immediately off the elevators are easy to access. After those rooms, to the left or right, there are stairs you have to take to access the other rooms on that floor. For example, my mother and sister had to take four steps to access their room. I was on a floor below them and had two steps to access my room. I did notice some guests struggling with their luggage up and down the steps to access the elevators when we were departing. I encourage you when making your reservation, if you have any concerns about mobility issues, to request a room immediately adjacent to the elevators. The front desk was very kind to see about an alternative room for my mother. Unfortunately, the hotel was sold out. It was not a major issue, but I wanted to make sure other people were aware of this. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. I highly recommend this hotel when you are in Kinsale.

The room was gorgeous! Very spacious and included modern amentites and a great view. It was right in the heart of the beautiful town of Kinsale. Breakfast was amazing. Bed was comfy. All the staff were really helpful. Overall felt like a very luxurious stay.

My wife and I stayed two nights at Actons Hotel in mid-June. It’s a very nice hotel and our room had a great view of the harbor. Service was good at the front desk and in the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel was well located to explore Kinsale and the surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our time at this hotel and would definitely recommend it while in Kinsale.

From the moment we stepped in the front door to the time we left, we were impressed by this hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally spacious, and the bed was super comfortable. Few hotel beds I have slept in come close to the comfort of their beds. Shower was over bath which isn't ideal but water pressure and temperature were good. Breakfast was a buffet plus a la carte, and really good. Coffee was typical hotel standard, not great. The location was perfect. Parking can be an issue but we were lucky to find one.

We stayed here 13 years ago, and loved it just as much this time. We were in Room 314, which they switched us to after first checking us into Room 301. There is a definite difference in window sizing, even though they are the same category apparently. We love that this hotel has an elevator, but there are a few up and downs within some of the floors, depending where your room is. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding. Location is great to just walk into town.

This was the perfect place to stay in Kinsale. Directly on the harbour with beautiful views, walking distance to virtually all of Kinsale. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service. The rooms were luxurious and comfortable. Plenty of free parking, a rarity in Ireland. And the breakfast was delicious.

Food was a Little cold however staff were very helpful. The ceaser salad was delicious. It was so fresh and tasty. The staff were very pleasant and the prices aren't too high. Would highly recommend if stopping for lunch in kinsale.........

Returned to Kinsale and no visit is complete without a stay at Actons! The location is picturesque. The staff is most helpful , friendly and accommodating. And the rooms are well appointed and most comfortable . You won’t regret a stay here. Highly recommend and thank them for their consistent excellence!
