We are a party of six and pre-booked a table for late Sunday afternoon food and drinks. The food was very good, the Sunday Dinner in particular was worthy of mention, generous portions of Roast Beef/ Turkey/ Ham, a very good selection of fresh vegetables and Yorkshire puddings. We found the gravy could have been thicker but it didn't spoil the meal...a very generous plate of food for a good price. The staff, young lady and man were both professional and the beer selection was adequate. Nothing at all to complain about and good value for money in the Lake District. It's well worth a try, especially for Sunday dinner.

Questa è una recensione molto diversa. Io e il mio partner eravamo residenti in hotel vicino all'hotel Scafell. Non perdere interesse perché questa è una recensione di rave sull'ospitalità e un servizio davvero eccellente da una particolare signora chiamata Katie che lavora alla Reception. In primo luogo, eravamo in strade difficili, perché la nostra auto era letteralmente morta su di noi in un inondazione che era circa 3 ft profonda. Siamo effettivamente prenotati nell'hotel vicino (ma non ci è stata concessa molta empatia all'hotel in cui eravamo in realtà residenti). Ma se avessimo bisogno di un angelo Guardian, la troviamo alla Reception Scafell. Katie ha una grande empatia, una bella personalità calda, ma estremamente professionale e utile nel nostro terribile predicamento. Se un membro dei servizi clienti merita un premio per oltre e sopra, questa signora è meravigliosa.

Just returned home after a 6 hour journey from hell but yet again another great stay at the Lodge in the Vale. Have been coming to the Lodge for 3 years roughly now and the hospitality as per usual was top class. Perfect location for whatever your reasoning is for visiting the Lakes, whether its to climb the hills, explore the Lakes and all its beautiful surroundings or like myself, a avid plane spotter wanting to climb the hills for the low flying aircraft (when the weather allows). Rooms are consistently clean and tidy, nothing is ever too much to ask for if you need anything extra or more off if you stay for 4/5 nights etc, you get offered a mini room service half way through your stay if you require anything doing (new towels/etc). Not a breakfast eating person but always get lunch in the cafe after a morning out & about and the food is always spot on, whether you have a lovely warm soup or a toasted Panini! Already looking forward to my next trip and to seeing the brilliant team at both the Lodge in the Vale and the sister pub just down the road The Kings Head (30 seconds in the car or 10 min walk away) where Peter & his team always look after you if you’re staying with the Lodge! 5 stars isn’t enough for these guys!

Fantastic stay in the most amazing surroundings. From beginning to end our 2 night stay was memorable! We truly could not find fault with anything! Our suite was beautifully appointed with the most amazing view of the manicured gardens and lake. Our Spa experience was exceptional...one of the best spas we have visited in a long time. Last but not least, The Grill...it had such a lovely relaxed atmosphere and our food was great! We must give a special mention to the chef that made the soup...it was a 10/10.... I had 2 bowls! The steaks were also cooked to perfection. We cannot leave a review without giving a special thanks to all the staff...what a great team...nothing was too much bother and the level of service they give all guests was impeccable! What else can I say other than, we cant wait to return! Thank you for such a memorable stay!

Le strutture ambientali del popolo sono molto buone, un alloggio molto atmosferico.La caramella nella stanza è molto deliziosa, e la cena fornita dal popolo è buona, che non è ad alto prezzo (alcune cucina sono disgustose). La posizione geografica è relativamente incline. Mi sento che vivere qui è solitamente condurre da soli. Giochiamo a Keswick e Devent Lake qui un po'di distanza, e il bus è fermato per chiamare un taxi.Ma l'esperienza di alloggio generale è ancora buona!
