Ho soggiornato qui due volte a causa dei voli a tarda notte/mattina presto dall'aeroporto OR Tambo. L'hotel è ben posizionato e si può raggiungere a piedi i terminal (arrivo e partenza). Il personale è cordiale e disponibile. Le camere sono piuttosto essenziali ma erano adatte al mio scopo. Diversi problemi però che mi faranno non tornare a meno che non abbia bisogno di un facile accesso all'aeroporto - Non è fornita acqua potabile - è una semplice cortesia fornire una bottiglia o 2. Le lampade sul comodino non si accendono (forse era necessario sostituirle), nessun corpo lavare o fare lo shampoo in bagno, asciugamani un po' vecchi... non ho provato la colazione ma la diffusione sembrava promettente

The hotel is located within walking distance of Johannesburg Airport and is convenient for people who are suitable for transfers. The rooms are not large but sufficient for use

Great location. Can walk to and from terminal. Facilities good. Rooms basic but clean. Food is good.

The hotel room was old and worn out. There’s no water in the rooms—you have to find a water station in the corridor, which is inconvenient. They only provide shampoo and body wash in bar form instead of liquid, which feels cheap.

Clean room and bathroom. Great location for an overnight stay if you need to fly the next day.

Very convenient because of proximity to the airport 100% would highly recommend to avid travelers

We went to sleep at the city Lodge on 2 January 2025. Because it was vacation in South Africa the airport and lodge was super busy. We arrived at the lodge 21:00 and waited about 40 minutes to check in. They gave us a twin room after we booked a double room and said that they do not have enough rooms available so we should take the twin room. The power was struggeling so the lodge had no water and gave us a 2 liter water. This also meant we could not shower until the next day when the water came back on. We are dissappinted as the hotel was very expensive and we did not get the room we want and could not shower and waited 40 minutes to check in!

I enjoyed staying at the City Lodge. The rooms re comfortable and location very convenient.

I stayed here as I had an overnight layover and wanted to be close to the terminal, it was a great choice as you can easily walk between the hotel and the terminal. The room is VERY basic, it has however most basic thing you would need, including good speed wifi, a desk and a mini fridge in case you wanna store anything. Staff was nice. Room service option are a bit limited, but at least they have some.

Easily accessible Airport hotel very convenient for a layover

Overall, it was good. However, there was a lack of toiletries and towels, and it was a pity that there was no water and refrigerator.

Easiest place to stay at OR Tambo unless you have money to burn. Secure passage from terminal right to hotel. No need to exit terminal. Hotel perfectly adequate for 1 night.

Very close to the airport terminal. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very quiet. Perfect for an overnight stop at the airport.

The hotel room was small but very clean and neat. The furniture is old. However, it's very close and walking distance to the airport. It's very convenient when you need to catch a flight early the next day.
