Holiday Village Kuukiuru

We had an amazing stay at this property. The host was very nice and friendly. Set in lovely surroundings, the room was spacious and warm and the shower was nice too! We had all facilities needed and ample parking for the car. Would highly recommend staying here!

This place and the surrounding area was the highlight of our trip to Europe! The accommodation was absolutely spectacular, roomy and cozy at the same time, and the family that runs the place was very friendly. The Arctic cold doesn't even seem like a big deal with the in-cabin sauna at the end of the day. I can't reccomend this place enough! One morning we even awoke to the aurora borealis alert on my phone, went outside and saw the northern lights right from the cabin's doorstep. We added another night while we were here because we liked it so much and I wish we could have stayed much longer!

Best place ever! We booked literally last minute! Price: Great value for money! Note: You can either bring your own bedsheets and towels or pay extra - at the time of our booking those were extra charges. Accommodation: VERY CLEAN! :) We got a beautiful "apar**ent" in a house, it was very charming inside and out. Kitchen was fully equipped down to dishwashing liquid, coffee and sugar. All the dishes, cups and cutlery you would need - hotels only offer you a spoon and you should be grateful. Comfortable beds (4-bed - 2 up and 2 on the ground, which gives you even more privacy from your travel buddies), nice pillows, TV with YouTube and Netflix, free WIFI. It was warm inside, while it was -19C during some nights... we were not cold. Staff: Very friendly and kind - they will do their best for their English speaking guests. We got to see the Northern Lights on our second night - the hosts turned off the lights at the holiday village and took some incredible pictures for us. Thank you! :) Most incredible experience ever! Location: Tranquil. It is far from busy places like Rovaniemi, but you're still a 20-min drive from K-market, pharmacy and fuel station. You are practically in the middle of nowhere. Yes, you should rent a car when you book here. You are also close to Luosto/Pyha - which has: both husky and reindeer parks, skiing opportunities and a chance to visit the amethyst mine Activities at the village: Since we went in March, snow was EVERYWHERE - so beautiful... we tried snowmobiling. 90 eur for 1 hr = 100% worth it! It was enough for an unforgettable experience. I wish we did snowshoes and sauna... next time! :D Overall: This place is a winner! :) I would go back in a heartbeat

I spent 2 nights in Vuostimo on my way North in early August. The room in a separate building was nice and comfortable (enough space, own bathroom) I got an extra wifi router (I had to do some remote work on that journey) and the view from the window was beautiful. There is no grocery store whatsoever in Vuostimo, so if you don't have your own car, you should make sure to take along everything you need (next supermarket is in Pelkosenniemi which can be reached by bus, but not very often). The area is calm, in wonderful landscape.

I definitely recommend stay in Kuukiuru. Cozy house, nice river view, good location. I had a short stay for overnight but it was very pleasant so I'd like to come back here for a longer stay.

Um sitio espectacular com uma vista excepcional. Um pérola perdida num local isolado. Bom serviço com anfitriões muito simpáticos. Um bônus: vimos uma aurora boreal espectacular a partir do rio congelado e tem sauna para combater o frio.

Lieu extrêmement calme. Habitation très bien équipée. Le séjour a été formidable.
