DoubleTree by Hilton Antalya-Kemer All-Inclusive Resort

Lovely hotel stay in Kemer - we had a pool side room view- room was really nice well stocked all inclusive fridge replenished daily. Good choice of food in the central buffet only disappointment hence 4 * not 5* review is no all inclusive access to the a la carte resteraunts which were extra at 50 euro pp which we found disappointing having stayed at many all inclusives. Loved the food vans during the day serving lots of food choices a good option if u don’t want to eat in the buffet. Lovely pier with sun beds if you didn’t want to be at the pool or beach. Found the service very good staff very helpful and would definitely recommend this hotel

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August, returned after staying 5 years ago and it’s changed a lot and not for the better. Could write a very long honest review but I’ll just summarise instead. Booked as a family of 5 as we wanted rooms on the same floor as my parents but we were split up as far away as possible. We speak Turkish so emailed the hotel and travel operator weeks before arriving to request we were close but clearly that was ignored. The rooms were outdated, need a lot of things replacing. The beds/pillows uncomfortable, pretty dirty all over and the bathroom was siliconed together within an itch of its life but yet the shower still leaked. So so noisy at night, was nowhere near this loud the last time we stayed, kept blaming it on neighbouring hotels but the Hilton had an outside dj playing the loudest music I’ve ever heard. Service wasn’t great, had to search for cutlery and drinks often and the amount of flies and cats in the restaurant wasn’t pleasant. Food was nowhere near as good as it was on our last visit and they don’t have any allergy information out…..dangerous!! The food trucks were ok but need a good clean/updating. Entertainment was ok on some nights but the area needs to be bigger and more family friendly. Positive note; the children’s entertainers work really hard, the hotel look from outside/main areas is lovely and the views from the beach up to the mountains/sea are amazing. The cabanas on the beach are lovely and couldn’t fault the service in there, I know it’s an extra charge but it’s worth it. Anyway I could go on but it’s unfair as everyone has different expectations but it’s noway a 5 star hotel in its current state, it has changed a lot since our last visit. Such a shame as we paid a lot to stay for 2 weeks and trusted it would’ve been as expected.

Poor experience in the end. This review will seem like a very moaning negative review, however it was the experience we had in the end unfortunately. The negatives: To start with, we paid for a sea view room and had to compain as it was barely a sea view and was more a pool view (Photo attached) and was given a very generic response about the room and the location. I have since emailed complaining about this and they have straight up lied about the complaint and said I was offered another room higher up! This was not the case otherwise I would have taken it and they then lied again saying about a jacuzzi room which we never mentioned to them about. The guest relations staff don't really offer much apart from a text in the morning which tells you your day plans, they didn't have much of an idea how to get places that weren't too far away. Best thing to do is to ask the Jet2Holiday lady, she was very helpful and a really nice lady too! When it comes to food, they say they have different types of dishes each night for the buffet, however it almost always felt the same with a small amount of difference each day which was unfortunate. The best part for food is the food trucks as they cooked fresh in front of you and taste the best. The worst part. I was not feeling the best on the last full day we had at the hotel, I wanted to sleep in to feel a bit better, this was not possible. I had a phone call from reception at 9am asking me when I would be out the room, I didn't have a specific answer so I just said not yet and they called again at 11am telling me I had 2 hours to be out... What kind of service is this where I have to be told to leave my hotel room so they can do work on the balcony (Why could this not be scheduled for the day after?!? Considering we wouldn't have been there that day!!) Around 2pm I went to the reception to see if I could go back as I needed to nap to feel better, I was told the work would not be done for another couple hours. This truly ruined the hotel for me as it seemed like we were not important at all. A complaint was made and a generic response was once again the answer, I had enough at this point and said they do not care and in response they sent up a completely laughable gift of gesture (Picture attached). After this experience I was ready to go home. The positives: The best part of this hotel is probally the pier which offer stunning views of the mountains. The location of the hotel is about a 25 minute walk to Kemer or about a 5 minute taxi which costed around 200 Lira. You need cash if you want to use taxis and especially the buses, however if you need an ATM, you will have to walk 10 minutes down the road for the closest one. For most part, the staff are very friendly and do help out, especially the food service team and the bar/drinks team. A highlight was the people on skates that would get your drink for you if you're down at the pier.

We have visited the antalya area about 20 times and this hotel is possibly the worst one we have visited,the food was very very poor,service in the main restaurant awful,usually had to find your own cutlery,the bar staff worked hard but they were understaffed,no branded drinks,the wine was not good,al a cartes were 40 or 50 euros each,entertainment was mostly a pianist,definitely would not return.

Hotel is nice in the main. Pros: The best part are the evening shows & entertainment. One of the best hotels for this that II've been to. The food trucks at lunch are great. The coffee shops are barista style and free, same as the icecream shop. There is a chocolate shop that's also free but would be nice if they labelled what each different choclate was. All drinks are free which includes all coctails & liquors. There were always sunbeds available, even when coming down at 10am, although will be nearer the building end. Kids sunbeds in shallow area was also a nice touch - although there were quite a few broken beds being as at end of season. Cons: Restaurant food is basic and limited selection, compared to most other hotels I have been to. I couldnt even eat the cold crunchy baked beans or soggy scrambled egg. Only 1 toaster which ended up with huge queues. Apart from the reception staff, all the other staff's grasp of English seemed to be limited to the name of the drink and numbers with a hello & how are you. I'm not asking for fluent English but for a hotel that caters to English guests, an ability to have a little conversation would be handy as often found it difficult conversing. Rooms are a little on the small side, although are clean and enough storage for clothes. If you ask at reception, they will bring you an iron & board for free. The bar that is open later on is directly below some rooms. There were a few of us having a few drinks late on and we had complaints from the manager for being too loud, having upset some guests in the rooms above. DO NOT BUY A "REPLICA" ROLEX FROM THE JEWELRY SHOP INSIDE. I paid out £200 for a watch in September. It looks really nice and is looks a good "replica", but unfortunately by November it no longer works. Thats £100 per month for a watch I only wore 2-3 times a week.
