My wife is a tough customer when it comes to interiors and she was blown away at how tasteful, relaxing, fun, and well-though-out the place was. Every time we needed something, it was there. It had a great tropical feel and the surroundings were rejuvenating, including the cats and chickens. We enjoyed being there so much that we hardly bothered to eat out and just grilled fish about every night. We watched movies and just hung out and enjoyed time as a family (we must have watched Scooby Doo and the Ghost Pirates 7 times!). When we left for the last leg of our trip, for which we stayed at the Hyatt, we were seriously sad and depressed to be leaving our home away from home. We would stay there again in a second and recommend it highly to anyone considering a vacation to Kauai--especially if they have kids and want a more relaxing atmosphere than expensive resorts & restaurants.
