Hotel in zona Bishalbazar Park, Kathmandu

Proprio intorno al sito del patrimonio mondiale (Piazza di Kathmandu Durbar), hanno una struttura e un design così ben architettonico per preservare la tradizione del stile neo-ariano, hanno usato molto buon legno e manufatti. - sarebbe meglio se avessero mantenuto i mobili in legno e le avessero mantenute bene. Non avrebbero dovuto mescolare la cultura Newari con l'altro tema. Hanno cercato di mescolare tante cose, personalmente non penso sia una buona idea.

Vivo la mia vita in Canada, USA e Australia. Viaggiare è la mia passione. Ho visitato il Nepal diverse volte e ho visitato oltre a Katmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, Dulu, eccetera e ovviamente ho soggiornato in molti hotel. In Thamel Kathmandu sono rimasto in pochi hotel, ma l'Hotel Osho è dove mi sentivo a casa. Questo è il mio ritorno a questo hotel per buone ragioni che è difficile trovare a Thamel. La posizione è la più migliore e più vicina a tutto in una tranquilla strada. L'hotel è molto pulito con personale amichevole utile. La manutenzione della casa è eccellente. Perfetta terrazza per rilassarsi rispetto ad altri hotel. ricezione calda con strutture di prima classe. Si prega di contattare Bishnu e lui sembra il suo nome, il signor Vishnu, risolve tutti i suoi problemi. Era così aperto con il prezzo e manteneva le sue parole senza stringhe, eccetera, per esempio, tassa.Ha comprato anche una scala digitale per pesare il mio bagaglio.La struttura non ha un servizio di ascensore, ma il personale si occupa del bagaglio. Consiglio vivamente di non sprecare il vostro tempo cercando solo il libro Osho e cercare di credermi non si pentirà. Certo ritornerò come è la mia seconda casa quando sono a Kathmandu, perché questo soggiorno di 5 settimane ancora mi sento in corto.

Pros Great location for exploring Themal and provided you are not too high up, you shouldn't hear any road noise as it's set back. I was on the 4th floor and could hear the incessant beeping motorbikes but had moved from the first floor where i heard none (but was directly above the kitchen so could hear banging and chairs scraping from around 6am). 2nd floor is probably a good choice Staff were all excellent Room cleaned daily with 2 large bottles of water provided each day Breakfast was ok - decent variety of fruit, local and western with custom eggs. Coffee was instant though. Air con has heat facility No deposit required on check-in Toiletries provided Cons Some noise depending on your room location - dont stay in 107 or room directly above the kitchen/restaurant No safe for passport, cash etc in room Breakfast area isn't particularly clean i.e. dirty table cloths/mats Poor standard of fixtures/fittings e.g. gaps in windows and doors, curtains dont quite close right, dirty shower curtain, the rooms have seen better days but for the price its still good value. No coffee or milk in room (or 3-in one) No phone charging point near the bed Bathroom mat was old and dirty, no floor towel Tips: take extra passport photo if you intend to get a sim card at the airport, unlimited data one with nepal telecom cost me $10 - signal was mostly ok. Get your currency before you arrive or take enough to convert there, the atm machines are expensive Taxi from airport to Themal should be around 350 rupees working on 50 rupees per km plys 30 rupees start charge. You will be hounded relentlessly by people from the second you leave the plane for tour services etc. It may seem impolite but dont make eye contact, say no thank you and keep walking, otherwise you will spend your entire trip speaking to them. Right now its cold at night, pack accordingly. Be prepared to pay for everything, every temple, every place of historical interest - foreigners are charged around 1000-2000 rupees each time. E.g. all the Durbar squares, main stupas and temples. Don't assume that because Nepal is a developing country it is cheap. It isn't. In fact i found it comparable to some developed countries and not cheaper than say Thailand. A meal would cost me around 1000 rupees. In a smaller more local place you may pay 500. Don't take your new trainers, it's a very dirty, dusty city but exactly what you would expect if you've ever seen it on TV - it's all part of the experience. For exploring all of the main parts of Kathmandu, id say 5 days is a good amount of time. I recommend the everest helicopter tour but on that note i will say that tours are very expensive here, more expensive than even Hong Kong, Thailand, etc!! I ended up walking to the main temples, Chandragiri, Bakhtapur for the more local experience.

I am beyond diligent when it comes to doing my homework as far as where to stay during my travels. And making the choice to stay at the Vastu was absolutely the best decision I could have made for accommodations in busy Kathmandu. Why stay here? Too many reasons to mention. In brief... * The staff is EXEMPLARY. Ashish, Basin and Sujana are all outstanding. Whatever I needed, they tended to me as one of their family, including walking me to stores I needed to find. * The rooms (15 of them) are spotless and comfy. * They're located at the end of a street that does not get through traffic. Such a blessing in this cacophonous city. Whenever I return to Kathmandu, this will ALWAYS be my home away from home.

Stai qui per 9 notti, amava il servizio e le camere sonore. Il pranzo e la colazione erano sorprendenti e la posizione dell'hotel è parte del centro Chaya che ha un sorprendente luogo di caffè chiamato Arabica caffè!! Una volta che abbiamo raccolto i nostri berretti intorno a Tamel, gli shopping e i ristoranti esterni sono molto facili da camminare e godere. Quando usiamo i taxi abbiamo risparmiato così tanto scaricare Pathao così non abbiamo dovuto negoziare il prezzo e diventare sovraccaricati. Molto consiglia Aloft a Kathmandu e sono grandi ambasciatori del nome e del marchio Marriott!

Hotel molto accogliente. Personale molto utile. Posizione facile per ristoranti di caffè e negozi di trekking. Camera pulita e bagni. acqua calda era abbastanza. Wifi funziona bene. Inoltre hanno la verità di scegliere il colazione a buffet ogni mattina 6.30 a 10, che è molto buono. Hanno un servizio aggiuntivo per organizzare tour e trekking in tutto il Nepal. Chiedi al signor Shiva(A Human Shiva) che si prende cura di tutto e aiuta oltre i limiti. Hotel altamente raccomandato a Thamel.

Sono al punto di partenza di un soggiorno 18-night al Lakhey Hotel a Kathmandu, e posso dire sinceramente che è stato meraviglioso. Ho conosciuto molti del personale, e sono tutti caldi, amichevoli e graziosi. L'hotel è aperto solo per qualche mese e è senza spot e pulito, mantenuto in parte da uno dei più duri custodi di casa, Sumitra, che ho mai visto. Il capo del personale, Rajesh, e i suoi assistenti, Raj Kumar e Ram, che hanno anche molteplici compiti di cucina, mi salutano ogni mattina con un caldo benvenuto, e vi faranno sentire come se fossi parte della loro famiglia. L'hotel è situato in un tranquillo quartiere, a pochi passi dalla strada occupata e convenientemente situato vicino alla zona turistica di Tamel. Le camere sono senza scena pulite, moderne, piuttosto in alto, ma molto economiche. L'hotel non dispone di un ristorante, ma offre un grande colazione che va oltre quello che si chiama ”continentale colazione” che si potrebbe raggiungere in America. Include uova, però le piace (mi piace l'omelette!), freschi tagli di frutta, verdure, patate, tosta con burro e gioielli, succo, caffè o tè. E c'è un ristorante vicino alla porta per altri pasti. Non sono mai rimasto all'Hotel Lakey prima, ma posso molto consigliarlo, e certamente ritornerò in futuro. Godetevi il vostro soggiorno ... non vi pentirete!!!

New Hotel with Great Roof Top View, needs to improve. Room is nice, smells new, however bed sheet is completely new , itchy , it’s like just bought and not washed , direct to the bed or been there dusty for long time. Towel is dirty white, not convenient. Water is totally disappointed, Color yellow, un-filtered and smells. Need proper filtration. Massage, all is new, bed is sounding haha , no music , no aroma for 8k local currency, 1 hour, masseuse was good. Food some are great, some are tough. View is the best for this hotel, but they open only afternoon to 10.. if you are sunrise person , this hotel is not for you. Sun set was great. Staffs are friendly, however next visit should be more thoughtful on guiding guests, where is elevator, what are facilities and hotel can offer. Breakfast was fair, price is recommendable.

Nice view from the room with Mountain View on the 7th floor. Bedsheets and towels changed daily, water bottles provided everyday for free. Very nice staff. Good breakfast. Very convenient 24h room service if you need anything to eat or drink in the middle of the night.
