The best Hotel in Karbala At the onset, I would like to thank Mr. Tufeyl for organising our ziyarat trip with such perfection and in such a short time, looking after all our needs and making us feel very comfortable The rooms were spacious and comfortable with all amenities The meals were tasty with a good variety, special mention to chef Husain who was always ready to serve us, whatever we asked for? Sarfaraz was good at his services The shuttle service to the Haram was the plus point, it was very punctual and at frequent intervals Our stay at Baron hotel was a memorable one, and would love to return again for ziyarat

We were very happy to stay in this lovely sanctuary amongst the hustle and bustle near the haram. This is a very clean and beautiful hotel in Karbala. It's a 10 min shuttle ride to the haram of maula Hussain and Abbas. They have a 24 hour shuttle running frequently. One tip I recommend is always ask the driver where the pick up near the rozas will be as it changed multiple times when we were there. It can get very confusing if you are not familiar with the area. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. We felt like we were coming home each time. The buffets were delicious. Unfortunately most a la carte restaurants were closed and or have limited food due to Ramadan. They have wonderful amenities too like a swimming pool, kids park and gaming place. Nice for kids to get a break after ziyarat. A big shout out to Tufeyl the sales and marketing director who set everything up for us including airport transfer and ensured we got to our next destination safely. He really became like family for us. Zain ul Abideen at front desk was very helpful too answering questions and he spoke very good English. We will definitely recommend this place to all our friends and family. Another tip- For the women coming for Ziyarat, bring a big abaya. They are super strict at the haram.

A pleasant surprise staying at the Baron in Karbala. Clean, comfortable with excellent service. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed. There is a shuttle running to and from the shrines every thirty minutes with a five minute drive time to the ziarat. The breakfast was good with a wide array of options. The hotel arranged all our sightseeing tours to Baghdad, Babylon and the trip to Najaf. The staff, from the reception desk to the drivers that would take us around, everyone was super helpful and would go the extra mile to ensure we had a great trip. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Karbala.

This was my first trip to Karbala and to Iraq and I was not really sure what to expect. The hotel was pretty safe, modern and clean. The grounds were nice with trees, the rooms were really clean, modern and so were the bathrooms. We had an all inclusive package and food was brilliant. They had great Pakistani food along with middle eastern options. Salads, dessert, bread, Iraqi tea were fantastic. I took out one star because to go to the mausoleum area you had to take a shuttle. While the shuttle came every 30 minutes the convenience of walking was missing. It was not a big issue but during our visit there were a few million people there and the shuttle had to drop us a significant distance away and we had to walk through the mayhem. Overall very good option to stay if you visit Karbala

I stayed in the Baron in December 2023, the room was spacious, very large and nicely decorated lobby, the service was exceptional, and everyone went above and beyond, the buffet had all varieties of food and was very good quality, highly recommend.

Starting Point: We, as a family of 4 (two adults and two minors, 8 yrs / 11 yrs) from NY, returned from Karbala (Ziarat on Dec 31, 2023). I am happy to share my experience without any delay. To get things in perspective, I am a frequent traveler to Karbala but without children. This was the first time I decided to take family during Christmas Break. I want my kids to have good first-time memories, which I was worried about in the first place due to the lack of Quality, Hygiene, and Standards I noticed in accommodations near Haram during my past stays. I am glad we contacted Tufel Akbar (Baron) via the website, who patiently listened to our needs and crafted the perfect Ziarat Package with Maulana, including a stay in Kazmain, Najaf, and a first-class experience at Karbala. Note we were offered the standard transportation part of the package, but we upgraded our transport by selecting a full-size GMC SUV with extra charges totally up to you. Experience: What an experience, especially when traveling with children from the US with totally different expectations. I was a little worried as I want to build good memories for the kids and want them to be happy and ready to return to Karbala without any hesitation in the future. We were offered an airport meet and greet before the immigration counter at the airport. Baron Rep handled visa formalities, which was an excellent first experience without worrying about filling out any paperwork for visa processing at crowded Iraq airports without any discipline. Hotel Checkin: Breeze with Jr Suite, as we want our kids to stay with us. Excellent bedding food choices for eight and 11-year-old, 24 hrs in the room Dining service, which you can not get throughout Karbala in any other accommodation. Note this is a full-service hotel that offers kids entertainment with a Gaming room and VR games, so you can focus on your Ziarat with kids at the hotel without worrying about security. I do not recommend leaving kids in the gaming room un supervise when you have minors. Final Note: Please do not consider this a note to encourage luxury when going for Ziarat. We also have a 5-star hotel In front of Kaba and Madina; too, it's all about building a lasting image for yours and your family to cherish in the future with the desire to meet imam every year.
