This hotel was probably great 20 years ago. Now it is an exercise in frustration. Here’s a few examples of why: 1) The basic facilities are not reliable. In the first 3 nights of staying there, I had one boiling hot shower (no cold water) and two freezing cold showers (no hot water) 2) The wifi drops out all the time and you get a 1-2MB bandwidth which is a struggle if you’re doing video calls 3) The additional amenities like gym, pool, sauna etc are a mess. The jacuzzi and sauna have been abandoned from what I could tell. The gym has no air conditioning so once I was doing any exercise I was just pouring with sweat. It must be over 30 degrees in there 4) The service level is way off. I spent 25 minutes trying to buy a coffee from the coffee bar on ground floor. Four times I asked for someone to come and help. 3 times nothing, 4th time someone came, rattled around, and walked off again 5) The food is so poor. How you get basics like burgers and salads wrong is a mystery to me 6) There has been no investment in the place and, consequently, it is just tired. Dents, scratches, tattered flooring everywhere. Its honestly a bit sad to see This is from the Meridien chain, a well renowned brand. I am amazed that they are trusting a local operator to run a facility this poorly in their name. I booked the hotel basically because I assumed it must be OK because it was a Meridien but, honestly, the place is dreadful.

The hotel is in a fairly decent location with restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Like most places in Jeddah you have to drive to them so anything beyond a block away and you’ll need an Uber. Beware that there’s two entrances, one up a ramp to the main reception area and another off a side street. The room was lovely, the shower in our room hadn’t been used for a while so it spluttered upon first use but the shower gel was lovely. Unfortunately the Cleaning staff did not replenish items such as tea or creamer after the first night meaning I didn’t get to have my morning cuppa, which for a 5* hotel you’d expect, without having to ask.

Where do I start!! The service at this hotel is first class! The moment I checked in until the check out was given with the best hospitality I have had. My first time vising Saudi Arabia and we were a very large family group of 14 people, the way the staff had helped arrange our rooms, the help generally and friendliness was the best. A special thanks to Ayman and his colleague Mahmoud they were great! We are thankful to the staff and are extremely pleased we chose this hotel, definitely will be back InshAllah!

Dopo aver soggiornato l'ultima volta in questo hotel e divertito davvero il mio tempo qui, così ho deciso di prenotare di nuovo, ma purtroppo ho avuto un brutto tempo per controllare come il tizio in front desk mi ha ancora pagato con la stessa somma di soldi che ho pagato all'applicazione come Ha detto che il problema è che la prenotazione non si è presentata nel suo schermo e non mi ha scusato per l'inconveniente che penso sia sufficiente per me e mi accetto la mia decisione di non rimanere più qui

Tutto era buono, il personale molto competitivo e gentile, la camera molto spaziosa e pulita (eccetto le finestre causa della pioggia del deserto) colazione ok ....L'unica cosa negativa è la posizione in quanto l'hotel è su una strada di attraversamento occupata e il GPS ha avuto un tempo difficile per Guidami all'hotel, altrimenti e in generale io gli darò 4 stelle ...
