Avra Beach Resort

This was our second time at this fabulous hotel and we can honestly say it was just as good if not better than the first time The hotel is set right on the beach with large pool, plenty of sunbeds The rooms are spacious and kept spotless by the lovely cleaning staff There are a number of food outlets outside with waffles, sandwiches and cakes from the bar. Then the Greek and Italian diner is open until 5pm The staff really are fantastic and everyone is so welcoming and friendly The main restaurant is run fantastically by Vasili and Kostas who work so well together and welcome everyone with a smile. The food is really good with plenty of choice, always fresh and hot Kristen on reception (hope I’ve got that right) is a credit to the hotel, always there to help with any questions Mike the glass collector is great, always smiling and chatting to everyone and so funny, he’s an asset. George the glass collector too is so lovely The animation team, particularly Bia and Krystina totally made our holiday. My 3 year old grandson had the best time ever because of them, also Alan They work so hard to make sure everyone has a great holiday We certainly did and won’t hesitate to recommend this fabulous place We’ll be back

This is our third visit we love the hotel, staff and the food We would love to thank Stelios on this visit we got a room that the air conditioning wasn’t working! There is no way we could have slept! Stelios promptly got us moved and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts. We never slept the first night! Our visit this time was for two weeks, so you can imagine how important being cool at night. We have since been back to reception and Kyriaki has helped us with our choice of rooms for 2025. We were able to go and see a superior family room they are lovely The F&B manager is always lovely he runs a very tight ship! Therefore runs like a well oiled machine!!!! Housekeeping do an excellent job of keeping the rooms clean! Massive thank you to all the staff at Avra Beach Not forgetting the bar staff and Mike

The best hotel experience I've had. It's the 1st time I've stayed at a beach resort and it didn't disappoint. The place was spotless. Food was lovely especially the lunch restaurant outside, it's the 1st holiday I've ever been on where I didn't need imodium. I'll leave it at that. The bar staff really made the holiday what it was. They are Fantastic. They treated every single customer with integrity. Worked so hard and made everyone laugh. Particularly Anistasios. He's a legend. None of this 1 or 2 drinks per person nonsense. Nothing is a problem for them. The food hall staff were also so friendly and not over bearing and fake. The night time entertainment was decent and everyone got involved if they wanted to. Theres nothing really close to the hotel regarding bars etc but you dont really need to leave the hotel. I'd 100 percent stay here again.

This place. Beautiful. Me and my friend enjoyed this hotel/resort to its full extent the shop on site is perfect and well priced the rooms are good for what you pay and the margaritas are gorgeous. Coming back in June 2025 with more friends so we can share the love of Avra beach

Let me start by saying the overall holiday was good, location was great, and the staff were outstanding. It was simply the room accommodation which we found very poor. We love Greece and particularly Rhodes, so we know what to expect. On the positive side, the Jet2 side of the holiday was great and highly recommended (first time we've used them), also the staff at this hotel are almost all fantastic. A special mention to Billy the entertainments guy and to Kiriakos and Mike at the pool bar. They were friendly, great fun and a pleasure to be around. On the 'neither positive or negative side', the food was average at best. We ate out a few times despite being all inclusive as we found the food a bit repetitive and not the greatest quality (although not the worst we've ever experienced on an all inclusive). A slight negative, would be the small area around the pool and a distinct lack of beds. This is a common theme on these types of holiday but is exacerbated by the usual suspects claiming way too many beds and hardly using them during the day. We did witness a few bed wars during the week (which added to the daytime entertainment). We generally only take 1 No. bed between four of us (2 adults + 2 kids) and use chairs to supplement, if there are spares, we'll take two. The beach location, with free beds on the sand is a positive although the number of beds is the same issue. On to the real negative. We stayed in what appeared to be last part of the hotel still to be refurbished (Room 308 I think). The room was very tired and had a few issues which made it a space you didn't want to spend any time in (we only really spend about an hour a day awake in the room getting ready to got out in any case, so it didn't ruin our holiday). As you will see from the photos, the major issues were the poor electrics (I wouldn't fancy very small children using the socket in question), the bathroom floor drain being open and the cover not fitting, and the very tired, dirty old balcony furniture (as it happens you wouldn't want to sit on it anyway as the view from the balcony was of an unkempt grassy area and a building opposite). To be fair, we didn't pay for sea view rooms so wasn't expecting one, although also wasn't expecting the balcony and view we got. Maybe the already refurbished rooms are fine and are up to 4* standard, however the one we stayed in was 2* (maybe 3*) at best. As we spend so little time in the room, we didn't bother complaining or seeking a move, so it didn't ruin the holiday at all. But we thought it was worth reviewing what we did get, so that others are aware of what they might get. Would we go back? Difficult one - It would have to be in a much better room and at the right price, so we'd never say never.

We have just returned from 10 days at this hotel. We cannot recommend it enough. We didn't have anything to complain about at all. The location is terrific, easy to get to Rhodes town from. We stayed in a family room on the ground floor, it was a bit dated but very spacious and clean. We had clean sheets and towels everyday. The whole hotel us really clean. There are newer rooms on the upper floors. Beach towels are provided. The animation team is awesome, special thanks to Spiros, Cristina, Bea and Billy- their games, dances and entertainment literally made our holiday so good. The kids absolutely loved the team and the mini disco, the t shirts and the kids club. The food was so good, plenty of choice, snacks and drinks available literally all day and night. Plenty of seating available around the pool and on the beach. We made so many friends with so many lovely families. I was one of the best holidays we have ever had. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It is comparable to the Atlantica branded hotels for a mire reasonable price. The staff are friendly but totally professional. This hotel deserves its 4 stars!
