Leonardo Hotel Inverness

Right so to start this is not a hotel for a holiday or break , it’s best described as a business persons hotel or accommodation for a commuter. It’s in between a main busy road on the outskirts of Inverness and a train track and has to be one of the noisiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in , basically for the noise outside and inside this building has the loudest shutting doors I’ve ever experienced. I stayed for 2 nights and had about 4/5 hours of broken sleep the entirety of my stay , because of people constantly slamming doors all day and night. The doors just slam onto the wood frame and the rooms are not soundproofed , and I could hear people above me ********** and getting up to use the toilet with the loudest plumbing , when I did finally get to sleep I was woken up at 6:45 when everyone goes down for breakfast and then back to their rooms after and then to checkout . Any chance of a lie in was ruined by loud cleaners outside my room and above me crashing and banging and hoovering at 7:30am !!! It has to be a joke right ? I couldn’t even relax in the day time in my room as cleaners and people continued to arrive and leave and the never ending clunk of slamming doors never stopped it was brutal . I checked out feeling ill and exhausted, the staff were also very unfriendly , I didn’t have any engagement from anyone in my entire stay , the staff in reception were aggressive and demanding and I’m the customer !!! I was harassed for my email address which I didnt want to disclose . Breakfast was the same and I was told off for sitting down after I was left waiting for a table and the girl didn’t bother to come over , they are friendly to Scottish people but as I was English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 I got nothing , i couldn’t wait to checkout !! I’ve had bad experiences at Leonardo hotels in the past and said I wouldn’t ever stay at one again after my night in Plymouth resulted in a group of very drunk teens coming into me and my partners room at 3am which was traumatising to say the least ! , I got some excuses and no apology either from the guy at reception there . The breakfast was one of 2 plus points I actually enjoyed it was great and had a good selection of hot and cold items, all very fresh , also the onsite Pool although I couldn’t swim as they have kids swimming lessons on regularly and the jumping in, toys in the pool and splashing made it impossible to enjoy , also the steam room was out of order so I didn’t stay in too long, but it was nice to have a sauna . So if you want limited sleep and a very uncomfortable and noisy stay on an icy and busy road on the outskirts of Inverness , with aggressive Scottish people and want to feel like your in the wrong and not the customer and an unwelcome bad smell ,then this is the hotel for you ! Enjoy ! I won’t be ever staying with Leonardo Hotels again it was a horrible experience 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Breakfast is great with lots many options of fruits. Nice fresh British breakfast, the space is large the enough for many guests. Their bar is beautiful but I didn't get any drink because I found their prices too high and they close the bar very early around 9pm. I enjoyed my comfortable bed and warm room. There are some poins which really needs attention: The room needs a proper deep cleaning including hoover under the bed, deep cleaning the walls in the bathroom, those taps are really old and really dirty if you see under that. The toilet is so dirty and needs beach. There is not hairdryer. They have got a new sauna which fits only 3 or 4 people inside, it is too small then if you wish to use in a busy time, prepare yourself to wanting and keep your eyes to the door when someone finishes their session. The steam room is broken (so disappointing). It says it's a 4 stairs hotel but this building is old then needs a gret maintenance. The staff are friendly.

Had a lovely last minute stay.  Room was perfect.  We used the pool this morning and the guy who was working was so friendly made out stay.
