Huddersfield Central

We have stayed here lots of times now and its just a lovely hotel. Reception are brilliant and there are usually 2 people on it. They give you a lovely warm welcome and are very efficient and helpful. Location is great. On the canal, next to The Aspley pub and restaurant and very close to Huddersfield Town and The Smile Bar is just across the road, which is a fabulous music venue. The bedding, pillows and mattress are totally devine and luxurious. They are the very best and most comfortable we have ever slept on. They are always so fresh and clean and I cannot fault. Always a fantastic stay with free parking & luxury toiletries and excellent value for money. Also massive bonus of 12 noon checkout!

Stayed for two weeks. On my second week the room I got was very dark and had a small window closer to the ceiling. When in formed the front desk staff, they immediately responded positively. Staff Donna kept a room ready for me very next day. Restaurant staff like Chole, David l,Elle and Philomena were very friendly and helpful. Food was great for the price. Overall lovely stay.

A very clean room, thanks to excellent housekeeping staff and frendly reception staff. A big thank you to Donna and the older gentleman for the excellent customer service and going the extra mile. The location is close to town and there a the resturant next store.

Superb location and staff are always friendly. Free parking too. Highly recommended. Really good experience every time.

Handy central hotel, like most premier inns but... if you stay more than one night you must tell reception you want your bed making and the room cleaning otherwise they wont do it (odd or what!) The pub which is part of the hotel calls last orders at 10pm (arrived at 10:03 and was told I was too late). Wasn't a one off appears to be every night. No signs up or anything. Just feels odd. Breakfast - if you drink decaf bring your own as they run out. They run out of fruit and croissants too. Plus side is there isn't any hurry to breakfast, they are happy to leave you chatting for as long as you want. In fact all the staff were really nice, could not fault them.

Following a night out, we were unable to get into our house due to a faulty lock! Not what you need at 10.30 pm! Well looked after by all staff and James and Chloe in the restaurant the next morning were fabulous. Thank you James for your exceptional kindness. You are a star. The hotel itself is in a perfect location for the city centre. it is a lovely building/s with marvellous views onto the canal. The food was superb with excellent service. If you want fun meal, go for breakfast where Eileen and her team will definitely keep you entertained whilst you eat a very well cooked breakfast. Cant recommend this one highly enough.

The reception staff were fabulous and incredibly welcoming, room was expected however was unbelievably hot and the air con didn’t appear to be working. The curtains were broken and had holes in them which leaked light and the noise from people coming & going through the main door was infuriating. Comfy bed but hardly slept, a different room away from the main reception door might have made all the difference.

Central location close to venue was main reason for choosing this hotel. Was clean, comfortable and had everything that was required. Walking distance to centre of town with a big pub/restaurant on site.
