Our recent stay at Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu was a blend of highs and lows, with its strengths balanced by a few notable drawbacks. Situated in a reasonably good location and boasting cleanliness throughout, the hotel offered convenience and comfort in many aspects with a great pool and bar area including a separate adults pool. However, certain factors detracted from the overall experience, leaving us with mixed feelings about our time there. Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location, while not directly in the heart of the city hub, offered a decent compromise between convenience and tranquility. Close proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon provided easy access to beach activities and waterfront relaxation, adding a touch of serenity to our stay. Additionally, we found the hotel to be impeccably clean, with well-maintained facilities and a commi**ent to hygiene that was commendable. Despite these strengths, there were some notable downsides to our experience. The most significant inconvenience was the walking distance to the main city hub, which required a 15-20 minute walk to reach popular attractions, dining establishments, and shopping venues. While not a dealbreaker, this added a layer of logistical planning to our daily activities and limited spontaneity. Another issue that significantly impacted our stay was the persistent noise from the elevator. Unfortunately, our room was located close to the elevator, resulting in constant disturbances throughout the day and night. The loud mechanical noises disrupted our sleep and detracted from the overall ambiance of relaxation that we had hoped for. In summary, Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu offered a mix of positives and negatives during our stay. While the hotel's cleanliness and proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon were definite highlights, the walking distance from the city hub, the disruptive elevator noise, and having to pay for hotel parking detracted from the overall experience.

The room felt a little old and dated (ex. noisy old air conditioner) but was comfortable, spacious and in a convenient location with a nice view! Paid extra for a parking space at about 28 dollars a day. Front desk was very kind! Wouldn't mind staying there again.

Hotel ubicato all’inizio di Waikiki, a circa 10 minuti a piedi da Kalākaua avenue…è quasi come un villaggio con ben 5 torri di camere…per famiglie con bambini è perfetto…all’interno ci sono ristoranti negozi e anche 2 starbucks. Ci sono 2 piscine principali e un’altra con gli scivoli vicino alla lagoon. Consigliato!

Great hotel, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean and had a great view of the city. We did not spend a lot of time at the pool but it looked great to relax. Would definitely return!

The location was great, walking distance to the beach, shops , restaurants, etc. Room was nice, great views. The bell desk and concierge were super helpful and friendly. Check in was a bit slow other than that everything was good.

Consideratelo un piccolo incidente felice. Ho perso il mio volo a casa a causa del Parade del Giorno Memorial di Pearl Harbor e sono stato bloccato un giorno in più su Oahu. Ho cercato di vedere cosa era la camera hotel più conveniente disponibile e il Ka La’i è apparso che mi ha sorpreso. La stanza è stata prenotata rapidamente perché il giorno dopo il Maratono Honolulu è stato venduto quasi ogni hotel. Ho avuto una suite di vista oceanica con un letto re come la mia camera e l'amavo. Il bagno era sorprendente, il letto era super comodo e l'appartamento era spazioso. Anche se aveva una cucina non aveva una tavola da pranzo dedicata, nemmeno una piccola. L'unica cosa nella zona seduta era una tavola di caffè in vetro che era abbastanza lunga per le mie esigenze di una cena di pizza tardi. Il personale era utile e, anche quando mi accorsi, mi chiedei casualmente se potessi andare a fare una visita alla suite Penthouse, perché avevo sempre voluto prenotarla. I due impiegati del dipartimento frontale mi hanno scortato alla Penthouse e mi hanno dato un po' di visita. Sarebbe certamente rimasto lì presto.

Ho un problema con questo hotel. Il potere è uscito. Uso un dispositivo medico per dormire e gli ho detto che non posso rimanere nella stanza per dormire prima di tutto. Non c'è un condizionatore d'aria a Hawaii è molto caldo numero due. Io dormo con la macchina CPAP medica, quindi non posso dormire senza quella macchina. Come mi aspettano di rimanere in questa stanza? Ho controllato l'hotel che mi hanno detto che mi avrebbe dato un rimborso completo e ora stanno tornando a parlare e non rimborsando i miei soldi, è ridicolo.

Hotel très pratique, très bien situé. Le seul défaut est qu on.ne peut pas prendre la demie pension ou pension.complete. Sinon.le.personnel.esr super Tress bien situé avec tous les commerces pour manger et faire du shopping

Location is great! Hotel is quite new. There’s a Starbucks and ABC stores at the lobby. Staff are friendly. Pool is great too.
