Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel

Very nice 5 star hotel. Excellent view and service is top notch as well. Location is poor though. Taxi from airport there is around $70. Yet hotel guest has no daily parking. This is a big question mark. Maybe locals are not very welcomed.

Booked this place for our last night in Hong Kong as it was right next to the airport and we could depart to the airport later since it was so close. The hotel itself was beautiful I have no complaints about it. The hotel staff spoke perfect english and it seems every other guest here also spoke english. Although it is separated from the main islands of Hong Kong about 30 min drive. It still has plenty of stuff around it. There are alot of restaurants surrounding the hotel and inside the hotel itself, and a 7/11 across the street if you need anything. Hotel staff was amazing and amenities were also good. The gym was decked out and they also have a beautiful pool and locker room with showers and sauna inside. They also offer bus service to take you to the airport which comes and goes every hour and takes about 15 minutes to get there. The room we got was kind of small but very clean and cozy feeling so I didn’t mind at all it also comes with a giant window that does not open, and the bathroom was really nice with a good shower with super strong water pressure. My only complaint is they do not have a washer/dryer area, but I was told they do offer laundry as a service. Another complaint was the “Alexa/Simo” tablet in the room. It was nice that its voice activated and can automatically turn on and off the room lights but the light the tablet emits at night when you try and sleep can be bothersome and made it hard for us to sleep. I felt like it would randomly light up throughout the night for no reason. I kind of wish this place was also located on the main islands as I feel they need nicer hotels in that area and I definitely would have booked if they were. Overall really good stay and would definitely book again if I get another chance.

It was a terrible stay for me. Their front desk staff was not able to communicate and address guest needs properly. On the fourth night of my stay, I returned to my room to find no water in the mini bar. I went to the front desk to ask for two bottles of water. They said there was water in my room. I explained that there was no water in my mini bar, which was why I came to the front desk. However, the front desk staff insisted that there was water in my room. So I went back to my room to check the mini bar, but there was still no water. I took a photo and returned to the front desk to show them that there was no water. However, the front desk staff continued to ignore my request. They kept repeating that there was no free water in my room. I also explained that I was not asking for free water, but wanted to know if there was water available. After discussing it with them, they said they had sent water to my room. So I returned to my room again, but unfortunately, there was still no drinking water in the room. I went back to the front desk to tell them that there was still no water in the room. They repeated that there was no free water. I was really tired and thirsty at the time. I told them that I didn't care whether the water was free or paid for, I just wanted to buy water. Is there any water available in the hotel? They still said that water is not free. Finally, I gave up trying to communicate with the front desk and left the hotel to buy water. This left a completely negative impression: an uncommunicative front desk and a hotel without bottled water. After a busy day at work, I returned to my room exhausted and without water. It was truly unexpected that a five star hotel with so many business travelers would have such unpleasant service.
