Dorsett Kwun Tong Hong Kong

This was my second time staying at this hotel. I came here for a short business trip for three days and I couldn’t think of a better hotel to spend my time. The service is pretty good. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and I enjoyed my stay. 

I have stayed for several years at Dorset but this time I couldn't sleep on the bed as it felt like a water bed. Any person that moves shakes the whole bed. The air filter needed a filter replacement as it flashed a red filter sign when switched on. The room was quite different from the usual as it didn't have a sitting couch.

I booked this hotel cause It was close to my business meeting and because it had a pool. Its too bad they didn’t notify in advance the pool was not available, I would’ve chosen a different option.

Firstly, the hotel is dated, it might have been very nice 10 yrs ago but it feels old. The rating for me in this price range is much closer to a 6 than an 8. Room is on the small side for the price, I know this is Hong Kong, but it is not in the busy areas like Cental, Harbour areas or Tsim Sha Tsui. They do not provide you with any single use plastic items like toiletries, ear buds etc. Which is fine, but tell me BEFORE I book, not when I arrive so I have a choice. It is also your responsibility to provide alternatives to single use plastics. The hotel just takes away the "amenities/products" you would expect to get and don't provide anything else to solve the problem. That is not good enough at this price point. Other hotels have the same philosophy, but handle the solution better. Lastly, they have a restaurant on site, BUT it is a third party, they do not take responsibility for the restaurant. This again at this price point should be pointed out before you book, as there is options where breakfast is included. The restaurant is also dated and quality is low. Almost no vegetarian options and the don't really refill to much, if something is finished you have to ask for a refill, which is bad in my opinion.

Good location, easy to find , nice staff, clean room and will come again

It's a very good choice of hotel. Instead of bottles of water, they provide us a water station that we can get it anytime.
