Hotel a Hobart, Australia

The Bay Apartments are a good value but simple place to stay in Hobart. We stayed here for 1 night this week, in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean but small. It had an overpowering smell of cleaning products when we arrived but this dispersed during our stay. The bathroom is a traditional shower-over-bath, and there is a small living area and flat screen TV. There is a small cooktop and sink, and a bar fridge. The apartments are a short walk to a large range of restaurants, a Woolworths and a Cole. There is also a pub (almost) next door. It is a short drive to Hobart CBD and there are public buses out the front. We were apprehensive at first as it was quite noisy (noise from other guests and from the road), but this didn’t affect our sleep quality. There is parking outside the unit and one reverse cycle aircon unit in the living area. Don’t expect a fancy property- this is a basic but well presented unit at an affordable price point, not a $300/nt property. If you set your expectations correctly this is a very good property. The stairways to the upstairs appartments are very narrow and it is difficult to carry large cases up and down. I’d stay here again if looking for a basic stay in Hobart, but probably not for multiple nights.

Little bit dated. Booked through Qantas Hotels and somehow was upgraded. ( No requested room available? do not know.) Water shower deluge head is great. Plenty of towels washers etc. The body wash and shampoo bottles are squeeze to actuate, sounds simple doesn't it? Mattress very comfy. Pillow a little firm for me but I did have the choice of 5! You get a kettle and that's it. Fridge opens one way, cupboard door opens opposite way. Not user friendly. Mis mash of cups. No knife or fork. Had to book for a couple of nights the next week but was an extra 50 an night. Thought that was a bit unnecessary for a returning client booking the same room. We had two windy nights and the sliding door widows rattling was enough to keep you awake. Need to be wedged. Location to town. Excellent, walking distance.

Siamo rimasti al quinto piano, davanti alla strada principale, ma la stanza era molto tranquilla, senza nulla di rumore da traffico o camere adiacenti. Se hai pagato per colazione, includeva sia cibo continentale che cibo caldo con una vasta selezione per soddisfare tutti i requisiti alimentari. Il ristorante è specializzato in cibi asiatici. Il pollo e il potato curry del capitano erano un favorito. Le camere erano pulite e 100% funzionali, in quanto in ogni camera è lasciato un feedback di manutenzione. Le tende di smarrimento hanno fermato tutta la luce per coloro che amano dormire o superare la decelerazione del jet. La sicurezza è stata migliorata con l'accesso alla carta di camera agli ascensori. È stato un cammino a 10 minuti a piedi, a 3 minuti a piedi alla fermata Skybus e a 5 minuti a piedi alla fermata Hop-on-hop-off. Buono valore e raccomandato.

La camera di base, ma molto pulita e ben progettata. Molto vicino a tutte le strutture della cbd, Uber food è stato in grado di trovarci rapidamente e senza problemi, anche l'istituto è molto tranquillo di una notte. Il letto era confortevole e c'era Wi-Fi gratuito, per $85 per notte, così vicino a tutto e presentato in questo modo, mi consiglierei felicemente a chiunque conosca e resterà ancora quando siamo ancora giù. L'unica raccomandazione che ho per i proprietari/amministratori è che il cubico di doccia è molto piccolo e sono un grande e grande costruito, quindi andare in giro per la doccia è stato un po' duro, ma altrimenti è così. Grazie per il buon soggiorno, il mio partner e io vi rivedremo al nostro prossimo soggiorno. 👍

I stayed here briefly (plumbing problem at home) so cannot comment on sleep quality. I had room 23, which was tiny (it was advertised as small) and had a double bed. Bed linen was clean and appeared to be good quality. Towels on the bed were folded in a most bizarre way, and they appeared to have been thrown down and crumpled, but were meant to actually look like that (reminded me of a sea creature.) The room was clean, as was the bathroom, with the exception of the entire floor of the shower bay, which was a yellow/tan colour. Maybe it was clean, but if it was, then it was obviously stained and really needs replacing. It was extremely off putting. Walls are thin and I heard the person in the next room showering. The male at Reception was quite dour. I did not have to stay the night as my water problem was rectified so I went home. Good value, but I would not stay here again. The room smelt of cigarette smoke, even though the property is non smoking.

È stato un soggiorno fantastico. Il tempo ci ha lasciato un po' meno, anche se non poteva essere risolto anche dall'eccellente servizio clienti. Il personale era così attento e piacevole. Le strutture erano eccellenti per il nostro soggiorno di 3 giorni con un letto a rotelle, perché ci servivano due zone di dormire separate. Le strutture cucina erano eccellenti per le nostre esigenze. La vista era molto buona sul fiume Derwent. La camera da letto era eccellente e la lavatrice e asciugatrice erano molto apprezzate. La posizione era fantastica con tutti i siti a piedi. Non può essere consigliata abbastanza.

Grande posizione - SkyBus dall'aeroporto costa solo 19 audi e ti fa cadere proprio intorno all'angolo (invece di 91 audi dall'aeroporto alla città con altri mezzi di trasporto). Molto bello e utile personale - ha una lista stampata di posti e cose da fare a Hobart. Camera - 503 spaziosa con 2 finestre che affrontano alcuni dei porti e della città.

Questo appartamento è più simile a uno standard di un motel. Puoi lasciare la tua auto nel parcheggio e scendere a Salamanca per trovare cibo e negozi.

I am very disappointed as I thought I booked a room in Wrest Point but instead it was in adjacent property called Motor Inn. I felt that I have been cheated as the picture in the booking details showed me Wrest point Towel and not Motor Inn. I thought the room was called Motor Inn as I have not been there to know the existence of Motor Inn. When I queried about it, they said it was the agent's (trip.com) fault . To move to the main tower will cost me an extra of $80. I felt I have been conned and they should have placed the Motor Inn building photo instead of the tower of Wrest Point in their website for booking. (It is deceptive marketing - show you a ferrari for sale and got a lemon after you have paid for it) Motor Inn is an old building and does not have lifts to the room we were allocated and being retirees , we have to carry our bags up to 2 flights of stairs. On top of that, the room walls were not sound proof and you can hear every customer slamming their doors and flushing their toilets. I thought we have booked the room with the sea view instead there were only bushes as a window view. It was so embarrassing when I thought I could request for a room on a higher floor in wrest tower for good views but instead shown out of the door to an old adjacent building call Motor Inn. In all its websites and advertising, there is not 1 photo to show Motor Inn as Wrest Point . It has always being the tower used to promote the sale of their rooms. The Bistro food is poor quality and costly. We order from the caviary and the food came out to be cold and dry. We wanted to try the other 2 restaurants Kwan Ho and the one on the 17 th floor in the main tower but were told they were close. I thought being a top notch hotel, their restaurant will be open 7 days instead they are closed 2 days.( sun and mon). - the days we were there sat,sun,mon) They have a fantastic location but sad to say they don't have the marks of a 5 star hotel. When you arrive at the Grand Chancellor you will find a tiny front drive that can fit about 4 cars, where you are supposed to be able to park, check in, and then move your car to their underground parking. However, this front drive is not monitored so when we arrived the driveway was completely full with no one there to direct us anywhere. We drove around the block to enter the underground parking and unloaded our bags which we had to carry up the stairs from the parking garage as there was no guest lift that we could easily find (good luck if you have trouble with stairs). At the bottom of the stairs there is a button that you can supposedly use to call someone to assist with your bags. We tried to use this and though we could hear the bell upstairs, it was not answered (even just to let us know that someone would come), so we gave up and carried our bags up the stairs. Upon arrival to the room, we noticed it was clearly very dated. We could see some effort had been made to update the rooms visually but the installations felt very half-****d. For instance instead of a shower curtain for the bath tub there was a half glass pane that is delightfully too short and instead bounces water off its side and onto the floor. A rainfall showerhead had also been installed but it seemed like an afterthought as it was crooked and had poor water pressure. We then tried to use the pool. Upon entry, I felt like I was taken back in time to the days of dark and damp fitness centers and unmaintained pool floors & furniture. There were no staff nearby and the entire area was a mess. Walking into the locker rooms was a shock with horrible banged up smelly lockers (many of which were open but had no key to lock it!) and awful grey blue shiny tiles that bounce the cold flickering white light around. The shared sauna between male and female locker rooms was also a joke. We left without even bothering to get changed or use the pool. We then attempted to dine at the restaurant in the hotel lobby. The host at the front asked if we had a reservation which we did not. He then looked around at the many empty tables as if he was not sure what to do and then asked us to ”wait outside” as he checked availability. We have never been asked to exit any restaurant whilst they searched for a table (even in much busier restaurants) and we were very frustrated by this request. We waited outside over 5 minutes and then decided to leave and ask the front desk staff for other local restaurant recommendations. As we were on our way out, we noticed the restaurant host was hovering nearby as if he had found us a table and was waiting for us to be done but we left without another look. Upon arriving back in our room after dinner and turning off the lights to sleep, we were graced with the hallway light streaming through the large cracks in the poorly fitted door. We had to stuff the cracks with towels, and then cover the strong blue light from the thermostat (which had no function to tur
