La Vela Saigon Hotel

The actual room we stayed in was quite different from the photos in Trip.com. I thought it was a spacious room with transparent glass partition for the bathroom, and with the bath tub nicely placed. However what I got was a room in a very odd shape, with not much space around the bed. The bathroom is of translucent glass instead of transparent. The strangest part would be the setting of bath tub and toilet, I need to find a way to place my leg in between water pipes when I was sitting (see the photos) in the toilet. And there is no place to put the bottles of shower gel and shampoo in the shower cubicle… they put them all outside the shower cubicle on the counter. Not sure how I was supposed to use these. But I can’t deny that I roof pool is really magnificent and worth it all.

Third time in this hotel in few months. I am appreciating in particular location, in district 1 and not so far from airport. Very well equipped and large is the gym andswimming pool at the 26 floor is the largest in HCMC despite I didn’t have time to enjoy it. Very good is also the SPA. Breakfast is also proposing a large choice of food. Negative note is for the elevators too slow and in my opinion not well synchronized between themselves with consequent more waiting time than other places

Excellent rooftop pool and excellent breakfast. Check out and lifts are painfully slow. Room is good but small.

Good stay in central location with a super nice infinity pool. Breakfast was ok. Room some vit noisy when facing the road

Hotel was clean and established. Service and amenities were great and there is a cineplex within the hotel - extremely convenient!

DONT BE FOOLED BY REVIEWS 8 missed calls from reception in one day called for room cleaning but came back with room uncleaned called for towel at 1230am waited 20 min never came housekeeper in the morning knocked on door 3 times and shouted “housekeeping” when do not disturb is on shower area auto curtain auto opened and closed aircon not working properly can hear the walkway very clearly and loudly alarms outside our room in morning the ****** in the hotel is all electronic and no physical cards…impossible to win (played blackjack and had 21 and, somehow magically, the dealer could draw 21 4 times as well, and when i had a high card the dealer magically manages to draw a +1 EVERYTIME) knocking through neighbors wall in morning for 1hr straight when call to complain about noise from neighbors i was met with “yea yea i got it yes yes” attitude from reception housekeeping empty the dustbin and just left the dustbin dismantled without plastic bag my room phone rang and when i pick up there was no one on the other line the only service rectification i received was swapping of my room to a same room type on a higher floor (which didn’t make much of a difference for noise from street and hallway) and a complimentary 6pm late check out…waited from 11 to 1:45 to check in (welcome drinks and cake was a nice touch) and this hotel asks most guest to leave good reviews in quite a pushy manner upon check out. you pay for what u get.

La Vela was alway one of my favorite hotel in Saigon, love their rooftop pool, the view was amazing, u can see saigon skyline and airplane landing and taking off from Tan San Nhat international airport from the pool, i always choose the room with breakfast buffet included, cuz their buffet is amazing, lots of food choices, gotta come back to try out their dinner options, the staff here was amazing and very professional…

Everything’s great! We were impressed by La Vela’s hospitality, professional, dedication and views. We want to send thank to all the hotel staffs serving throughout our stay. The only disadvantage is the shortage of drinks at the rooftop bar.

The noisy road in front of hotel and hard to sleep. Hotel is not very clean. I cannot give 5 starts
